What a hidden gem! Property full of beautiful art and interesting history. It was like stepping into a time capsule and sleeping in grandmas apartment. There was plenty of space in the apartment for kids to play and even more space for them to run outside. The hobby horse stall was a fun little surprise for the kids. The onsite summer cafe provided delicious salty waffles for dinner and the owner of the guesthouse Annika was very friendly.

In general, I think there should be more places like these around Finland for traveling as resident, staying in hotels is way to overpriced and often for lower quality unfortunately
The host prepared some small snacks, yogurt, and instant oat flakes for a quick breakfast. Hot beverages, such as tea and filtered coffee, were available. I will rent the apartment again when in Varkaus.
All staff was very friendly. Free (video guarded) parking. Everything is fine with the hotel. The food (dinner) in the restaurant was very good.
