Loved the charm of the hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly. The location is perfect close to the castle and other attractions.
Breakfast was excellent served in a beautiful room.
Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful location, tranquillity, fabulous room, cleanliness, eye-pleasing design, exquisite dinner of local fish, great views of the river and city lights on a darkening snowy winter's day, topped by the spa, a relaxing dip in the pool and heat of the sauna.

It was an incredible experience! The tent was brand new and clean. We really liked the pier and kayaks. We used them to get to one of the islands of Linnansaari in just an hour! The kitchen is very good, there is a lot of lighting. The sauna complex is comfortable and simple, especially I liked the hot pool. The staff is very friendly and pleasant, thanks to the guys for their help!

Savonlinna is so beautiful town.
Savonlinna is so beautiful town. Mainly the castle and the museum are both worth a visit, also a walk around the wooded islands and the town, during which it is worth a visit and refreshments at Cafe Saima, very delicious food.

Beautiful (and crowded) castle, possibilities of cruises on the lake and some nice restaurants. Great market in the mornings. A town for a couple of days, not more (unless you are here for the opera festival).

We had a incident there with poorly managed covid restrictions in upscale pizzeria in centrum. They didn't care social distancing and when we went to say about that, local covid denials launch yelling and swearing show. That ruined our evening and somebody might even say that its not worth to go back there. At least to that pizzeria that is.

Savonlinna pleasantly surprised me.
Savonlinna pleasantly surprised me. It felt like a bigger city and had a lot of good restaurants and shops. Olavinlinna Castle is a must see, and only a short walk from the shore (where you can park). Close by Olavinlinna, you can find shops and restaurants in abundance.
We stayed at Casino Spa and for once, there's an effective air conditioning available at a Finnish hotel. Finland as a whole still thinks our summers are not hot enough to warrant AC, but they're slowly but surely getting there.

The location was good, near the marketplace and within a reasonable walking distance from the Olavinlinna castle. The price was reasonable given that it was during the opera festival in town. It’s a nice old building that normally serves as a student dorm. The restaurant across the street where they breakfast was served was super clean even though it hosted a rock concert on its yard the night before. (The concert ended already at 9:30pm btw; the area was very quiet during the night)
If you want to live the experience to stay at a farm in Finland this is the right place to go!
The people were really super friendly and helpful. They are open to advise on any possible activities in the area (ice fishing etc.). We couldn’t have been happier.
Everything was very clean and for 10€ you can use a real traditional Finnish sauna which is fired with wood.
Large apartment.
Wifi was extremely fast that I could do video conference smoothly.
Airport pick-up and drop-off were on time.
Free bicycle.
Free laundry machine.
Free microwave oven.
Near the supermarket.
