The location is absolutely gorgeous and the cabins, although tiny, are absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed our time by the bonfire and watched northern lights from here. They even have snow shoes available to go hike some of the trails around. Beautiful stay which is close to the ski town of Ruka which has plenty of food options. It was nice that the breakfast is included in the morning. Ruka Pizza was amazing gormet pizza we ate.

The cottage is very spacious with many beds for our group of friends and the round dining table is especially great and practical for eating together like a big family. We enjoyed our stay and were happy to even get two raindeers as visitors one morning in front of the cottage. :)

The nature and activities for all ages were great.
The nature and activities for all ages were great. Beautiful place to rest and recharge and to be at peace. We stayed in a log cabin and prepared our meals by ourselves, but there were several places to eat in at the Ruka centre if preferred.

Great place in winter wonderland.
Great place in winter wonderland. While the hill is not particularly high, the ski is great and geared mostly towards beginner and intermediate skiers. Great cross-country skiing as well.
Ruka village is lively and with good selection of bars and restaurants.

Compact and convenient for most things.
Compact and convenient for most things. Skiiers used to Alpine ski resorts will find it small but it has good snow and being amongst trees is lovely. Bear in mind that beginners wanting the easiest slopes should be at the Valley side not the Village side or else you'll need to bus/gondola across.

I was in the summer.... which is still not too warm... so take that in to consideration.
There are TONS of mosquitoes, you wouldn't believe, but still the area is beautiful and the things to is basically kayaking, hiking or just relaxing. you must have a car to get around and it's better to purchase food and cook for yourself where you stay.

Ruka is a great family resort.
Ruka is a great family resort. A winter paradise with cross country skiing and downhill skiing available. There is also a ski school. I recommend staying in Ruka village side rather than Ruka valley side.
Ice slide onto small frozen lake was super popular with my kids as well as watching the ski jumping.
Highly recommend the ski school and Lammintupa for reindeer and husky adventures.
Fantastic house! Beautiful location, very remote but also close enough to the ski slopes and center of Ruka.
High quality furniture, great parking for the car and a very nice fire place in the living area. The house made us feel at home eventhough we were there only for 3 nights.
We had a small situation in which we locked ourself out of the house but Kaarlo helped us very fast even late in the evening and we were able to get in again.
+ Location is good, about 10-15 min walk to the village of Ruka (the closest ski lift is 5 mins away)
+ Communication with the owner was friendly and smooth
+ Super clean!
+ Beds were very comfortable
+ Has all the amenities you'll need and much more (it's not a typical "bare-bones" rental cabin)
+ The air source heat pump really helps on a hot summer day
+ The sauna is exceptionally good
Wholeheartedly recommended!
The space was clean, the beds were quite comfortable. The sofas were really good and the kitchen was well supplied. Being able to store our luggage at reception in the village before check-in and after check-out was great. The Sale Ruka supermarket is next door which is very useful.
The villa was really lovely. We enjoyed our stay to the maximum. It is fully equipped, you can find everything there. Ever tablets for the dishwasher. It is close to Oulanka National Park´s trails, and if you go there during winter, the ski resort Ruka is very close.
