We were visiting the UNESCO wooden church which is a 5 minute walk away.
The host's daughter was there to meet us at the arranged time. We had a nice chat with the owner later on.
The room had twin beds and was comfortable.
Check-out is at noon so we were able to return to the room after guided tour of the Church.

We loved the peace and quiet of this accommodation in the beautiful Finnish countryside, as well as the delicious breakfast with traditional Finnish choices (slightly different every day and with allergies taken into account). The hosts were super friendly, and we also enjoyed interacting with the animals at the farm (Piki the dog and some sheep). Being able to use the bikes and the sauna whenever we wanted was very convenient.

What a perfect place if you are looking for solitude, privacy, silence and nature. We never got bored with this perfect view over the lake. The house is surrounded by berry bushes and cranberries, so amazing. There is rowing boat which served us well. The lake is not very deep for quite a while which is good for smaller kids. The house is fully equiped and very clean. We came in August and yes there are moskitos but not millions of it and we just went inside during dusk. We highly appreciated this wonderful place and would come again.

Beautiful property, surrounded by nature, very private, peaceful and quiet, and the location was great, just a few minutes from the center. The house was decorated very nicely and well-equipped. Easy to communicate with the host.
The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable enough.
There is a sauna inside the house, though we did not use that one. But the outside sauna is located at the riverside, I can only say amazing.
In the morning we went to the lake (5 minutes drive), we used the host's boat for boating, so it was a plus. Our holiday was just great.

Gorgeous farm just outside of Petäjävesi, which offers several shops and places to have a meal. A little footpath through a meadow leads to the beautiful Old Church. The host is so friendly and lovely. The room was very clean and cozy in an old stone barn. Breakfast was delicious.
