Rotating between sauna and swimming in the lake in perfect peaceful silence. After a good sleep an amazing home cooked breakfast helped start the day - and free roaming ducks and chickens really got you in the best possible mood. The landscape, comfort, food, staff, and peace really are unparalleled. On top of everything we even got to charge our car a bit during the night to help us reach our next destination.
Without a doubt will be visiting again.

I liked everything here! The tiny cabins were clean and comfortable, the sauna at the lakeside was authentic, and in the evening we prepared salmon on an open fire. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
We stayed at the Wanhan Apteekin majatalo when we were visiting Savonlinnan Oopperajuhlat. It was very convenient to stay there. The hostess is charming, and she was very flexible and showed great customer-service as we were forced to have a very late check-in. She were patiently waiting for us to arrive close to midnight. Excellent breakfast! Interior of the hotel is very cute. Easy parking. Would definitely recommend!
There are picturesque places for walking around, but we came to ski, as there are forest trails and ski tracks around the hotel. Nature is gorgeous, forest, lake and clean air. The room is clean and comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious and varied. The spa center features an indoor pool, saunas and relaxation areas. Staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is big but works perfectly like clockwork.
The location was absolutely amazing . It’s located at the edge of the lake with gorgeous views on every side. Note that the rooms view might get partially blocked due to spa area roof. The staff was polite and helpful. The food was delicious although we found the breakfast spread to be limited in choice. They even have free use bicycles for riding around the trail routes around the hotel
Location was good, front of the lake.. But beach side need cleaning.. Beds was comfortable.. Parking place is free and enough space for many vehicles.. There is Salpalinja right behind the hotel.
