I absolutely loved this hotel. It had Everything you could ask for.
Plus a huge Grocery store right across the street so convenient. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Oh yes and in room sauna is wonderful. Book all your tours through this hotel it was so easy meeting each tour right from our hotel. We did Ice Fishing, Dog Sledding, Crab Safari, Snow Mobile all from our hotel.
Ice fishing tour was awesome. Even for someone who never fished before. I caught 3. And the guide was so kind and informative. He gets a 10 for this tour from me and my husband.

Great place, good value for money. Accomodations are great, recently renewed, staff is also kind and always willing to help.
Ivalo itself was cute. Not too touristy, much quieter than places close by and everyone so friendly with a well stocked supermarket. Not too many places to eat but it depends what you’re looking for. As a young family, it was perfect for us!

Ivalo is not big, but it is strategically positioned between Rovaniemi and Inari. Amazing location to admire the northern lights and visit Inari. Nature is incredible and it looks less touristy than Rovaniemi.

Best place to view Northern lights. Unique Husky ride , and snow mobile tours. Winter sports like skiing , cross country , snow walking.
Dreamy Winter Wonderland landscape ! Everything covered in snow is a picture perfect view .
Stay in a Glass Igloo cabin to view Northern lights ( weather permitted)
Renting a car is highly recommended , easy to get around even on an icy road . We used Alamo . Excellent car .
Book all your tours in advance to avoid disappointment .
Have fun and enjoy the cold . Be prepare to bring thermal clothing .

Ivalo is a quiet place for nature and sport lovers. A great place to take a rest from busy life and see SNOW in time of climate change. The shops in the centre offer everything you may need and even far in the forest your mobile will still get the signal.

We enjoyed watching the northern lights in the outskirts of the city ... Dont expect the colorful northern lights as you see it in the photos and videos in the Internet , mostly it will be in white color only... Ivalo Hotel club nord and northerlightsriders.fi arrange the best tours which we hired. They showed us the lights in the better places around Ivalo and inari... Apart from norther lights, snowmobile, skiing and other sports activities are available but we did not try those things.

As we were a group of 4 friends, we had taken an apartment and the experience was simply extraordinary. We had a very spacious apartment with all the amenities and facilities listed in the listing. The highlight was the sauna and the fireplace in the apartment which were the highlights of our stay. The staff was also friendly and there were many activities provided by the hotel which we booked at the last minute and the prices were super competitive. They were very punctual and friendly and had an amazing experience staying at Kultahippu
Charming hotel on the shores of Lake Inari. The overall vibe is intimate and slow-paced. Our room had wooden walls, private sauna and was very spacious. Dinner was great both nights we were there, we liked the buffet + main course formula.
Such a great stay! We got the sauna and the fireplace explained, it was such a beautiful area to stay, close by shopping options and the airport also near by.
