The room was big and comfortable. Wifi worked well. The hardworking lady checked us in in a friendly way, served us dinner (good menu), and organized the splendid buffet breakfast. We even saw a reindeer trotting down the road (looking a little lost)

We had a comfortable room with private bathroom in a shared cabin (though we were the only ones there). The location was very beautiful just next to a lake and it will probably be a very good option for summer travelers.

Enontekiö is a large area in north east Finland, and it is...
Enontekiö is a large area in north east Finland, and it is mostly void of people, which is excellent. There are a few villages, like Hetta, commonly called Enontekiö, where you can find everything you need.
Enontekiö boasts many of the most dramatic sceneries in Finland, like Saana and Halti fells, in the 'arm' (Käsivarsi), and palsasuot (permafrost-hill mires). It's excellent for hiking, berry- and mushroom-picking, and visiting one or more of the many national parks and Sami sacred places at hand.
In Hetta, we stayed at Ounasloma for the 4th time. It is a family-owned holiday cottage business, which provides actual fully-furnished houses with sauna, and the lakeshore is just next door, boats and bikes are at disposal.
We had our own food, but one evening we grabbed burgers and chips from the local grillikiosi (opposite k supermarket and alko), and not only was the lady very friendly, but the kioski sells bare necessities and the burgers are huge and excellent.
I only wait to go back, discover more of the nature around, and maybe finally climb the Saana fell, which was foggy (and therefore very dangerous) when we were there.
The price was right compared with the level (mediocore price, mediocore level). I liked the fact that the sauna and toilet was attached to the cottage. Free parking of course. :-)
The hosts were exceptional friendly and helpful and they told they are willing to go an extra mile to make sure the customers are happy. Also, they gave tips on what to do in Enontekiö.
Tramboline for kids were available, and facilites for the kid to play outside (sandbox).
Breakfest was super! Restaurant good @ nordic price. Hotel clean atmosphere. We were only one day so could not enjoy the environment. We did a short walk (2km) to Jyppyrä hill. There was a perfect campfire hut with a great view on the like and surroundings.
The breakfast was delicious, many different delicacies
We had also two dinners at the hotels and we loved them! Many different specialities from the finnish cuisine!
Rooms are cozy and very clean!
