The owner of the hotel, Yohannes, is very kind, thoughtful and helpful. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is adequate. Yohannes was extremely helpful in arranging airport shuttles and a guide for the churches. I highly recommend it.

The most important thing were for me the security. I felt so safe . 24hours security service. The room is super clean. Everything works. Electricity never been a problem. They have a backup Generator system, friendly staff. Tasty breakfast which is local and international food. The hotel is located to the famous rock hewn church of Lalibela and to the town centre. I was appointed a guide and he speaks very good English and has a good knowledge of the Church.

The friendliness and hearts to help, to share, give info, to guide, we’re incredible. The property is extremely well situated, we loved the magnificent view, the architecture, felt like we stayed in a traditional home, but modern, included all we needed. We love the family, the owners, that also were there for us in every respect. The breakfast, was healthy, good and more than enough! We enjoyed the coffees and teas in between, as well as all the fruit, honey, bread, provided in between. The staff were also very helpful, friendly, caring.

My room was upgraded because no one else was staying at the hotel when I was there (more on this later).
The room that I was upgraded to was large, but fairly bare.
The hotel is in a good location, a short walk from Lalibela’s famous churches.
The manager was able to organise a vegan breakfast for me, which was greatly appreciated.

Charming budget hotel, easily reached from Lalibela airport by bus for 200BIRR. I was met and accompanied by a guide, Ababa, from the hotel. Rooms are large and quiet, and they catch the sun in the morning whilst having breakfast, with a gorgeous view of the mountains. The wifi was reliable for me too!
The hotel is in a warm and friendly part of town with locals wanting to engage - and it has multiple ATMs nearby.
Everything is within walking distance although tuktuks into the main areas are cheap. The owner and staff are genuine, helpful and honest and the food on request is delicious. The guide is also onsite should you want accompanied trips or hikes and as a solo traveller, I took advantage of this and was never worried or anxious about moving about the town or hiking. The rooms are a little tired, but for the price, excellent VFM. I highly recommend!
