It could not have been better. We had perfect weather for New Year's, and we could even visit the Cíes islands with good weather. The Galicia food is exceptional.
The holiday's city lights are fantastic, although, anecdotally, the Christmas tree broke down during the New Year 2025 celebration; everybody was shocked...
We highly recommend to spend some holidays in this fantastic city.

We were only in Vigo for a few days but wished it had been longer, the location of the hotel was fabulous and the reception staff amazing.
We did arrive by bus and got a taxi from the bus station to the hotel—- we didn’t know the station was directly across the road , the taxi driver didn’t tell us and took us for a merry jaunt around town , we could have just crossed the road.
Apart from that the stay was joy … find the travellators if you want to head up to the high end of town

Fabulous shopping in Vigo and surrounding shopping malls.
Fabulous shopping in Vigo and surrounding shopping malls.
The main shopping street is wide and enjoyable to walk up and down.
We ate in most of the bars and restaurants near the hotel and enjoyed the Christmas market in the plaza gardens as well as the tourist train that took us around the city to see the lights. The big wheel adventure lets you see the lights and the cruise liner in the harbour. The shopping mall attached to the train station is absolutely huge and we enjoyed a night at the cinema which is on the top floor.

Vigo is very interesting to visit.
Vigo is very interesting to visit. We thought it was just a place to stop on the way but we found the Halo lift, main street travelator and the fortress all very impressive. A bigger city than we expected and very clean.

Vigo is Vigo.
Vigo is Vigo. And if you need to visit here - you will see a different Spain. No sun, no blue sky with a lot of rain, but great moisture for the skin, amazing sea food and great cardio training and physical training for the legs. I was surprised by the bus trip from the airport (or the exhibition center IFEVI) to the city: 1.57 Eur !!! Of course, the trip from the city to the opposite side by taxi costs 25-35 EUR.

Trip to the Cies Islands was the highlight of the trip and highly recommended. This will take a day. You probably only need a maximum of two other days to see all the city highlights. There are lots of great places to eat as with other Spanish cities including some great menu del dia offerings. Vigo is built on hills to you need to be physically fit to get around.

Special thanks to the great people working at the reception, especially Ms Renata - she was amazing, always smiling face, giving many advices about Vigo, travelling. We would like to also thank to the hotel for taking care of our luggage for 1 week, when we were walking to Santiago de Compostela. Great hotel because of great people working there! :)
The room was modern and spacious, with comfy bed and plenty of storage space. The hotel was close to the centre of Vigo and perfect for exploring the Cies Islands (boat is 5 mins walk from the hotel). We were greeted by friendly staff and the breakfast was great, with eggs made to order. Overall a really comfortable stay in Vigo.
I arrived in Vigo very tired and booked a hotel to sleep and relax. The location is excellent, the staff is polite. I liked the view from the balcony and the big bed. It was clean and comfortable. I was allowed to leave my bag for a couple of hours after checkout.
But..
Excellent little hotel right in the heart of Vigo. Right by all the restaurants in the smarter part of town. Easy to check in and out, and facility to make tea and coffee. Comfortable bed, good bathroom. All in all, perfect place for a short stay in Vigo.
