This was our second visit as the property is really well located for the Santander Port if going to or coming from the South of Spain.
It is very clean and comfortable.
Gustavo, the host, was extremely helpful and very accommodating when he heard our Ferry had been delayed.

We needed a dog friendly stop over in countryside on way to ferry. Casa Anil was wonderful - a quirky conversion using traditional, modern and found items - very light (unusual for a village house!) due to section of glass floor and glass blocks and mirrors. The open kitchen area off the garden was perfect for relaxing and the dog loved chasing her ball on the lawn

It is difficult to say what we did like of Casa Rural Alfoz because everything was extraordinary.
It is not an exaggeration to say that we loved absolutely everything of this charming place. The decor is exceptional, there are so many details, the furnishing is adorable. It is very groovy and makes you feel at home as soon as you pass the front door and enter the small dreamy inner courtyard.
And one of the most amazing things is to feel so welcomed: there is a selection of coffee pods, muffins and jam for breakfast and it is possible to listen to jazz vinyl which adds magic to the atmosphere .
Check-in was also smooth and there is an easy parking in front of the house.
What else to say, 10/10, really deserved.

Velliza is a once thriving agricultural village - now pretty empty. The advantage is the peace and quiet - except for the sheep driven past our house morning and back at night which was charming - and nearness to historic towns like Tordesillas and wildlife havens on the Douro river
