The owners were especially helpful. They suggested a local restaurant, which was very good, and drove us there. Rooms had electronic key pads. Garage space for our bicycles. Good location on main street

Room was cosy and clean, the hotel has a charming atmosphere, staff were helpful. Breakfast was just wonderful. Highly recommended.
Small town in the Sierra Nevada. Narrow Streets - and several restaurants (restaurant Fragua is highly recommended!) Well situated for dat hiking - potentially strenous, say 800 vertical meters in 6-7 km. (some 15% climb) -areas with snow in June. Try the Ham Museum as well!

Nice village but we preferred Capeleira, Pampaniera and Bubion where were not so far away from Granada and the coast.
On the plus side, there were very few tourists in Trevelez whereas the other villages of Las Alpujarras had more tourists.

Not the prettiest village in La Alpujarra but it definitely has its charm! Especially the higher up the village you go. It's definitely worth a visit and a good walk around the whole village. It has a few good places to eat at very reasonable prices.

The winter season meant it was quiet which was lovely, there were hardly any tourists in early January. Some of the restaurants were not open as a result but there was plenty of choice still. There is one place (La Fragua restaurant) which serves vegetarian options as standard, although the restaurant Piedra Ventana would sort something out. Great location for walking in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Fermina, Sonia y Mina are wonderful hostesses! I felt very welcome and well looked after by them. Their food is yummy. They even lent me a backpack to do a day hike more comfortably. The hostel is brand new and they keep it beautiful and clean. Nice and quiet at night, conveniently central for taking the bus to and from Granada. I miss Trevélez and la Alpujarra very much, it’s a very special place.
Loved this place. Really cosy local house. Not as plush as many places we stayed in but it was a lot more fun and attractive. The temperature was lovely. Shower was cold but we didn't mind that. It's also at the very top of the hill so you need to not mind walking. Loved trevelez as well and the climb to mulhacen
Lovely rustic atmosphere, sparkling clean, great Swimming Pool (as were upgraded to Fragua II), lovely family run hotel who also run the restaurant next door, which serves wonderful fresh food. The location is perfect as a base for hiking in the Sierra.
Overall it is a nice hotel. Spacious rooms with balcony on the valley. Free private parking. The restaurant has perfect view and amazing food, but it is quite expensive. Good quality food for breakfast, but limited choices
I think it was apartment with best equiped kitchen I ever seen! Contact with owner is great, localization in middle of Trevelez, good starting point for many trails. I trully recomended.
