Modest, friendly, likeable staff. A truly exceptional breakfast; delicious, house made savouries, everything fresh. The hotel is popular with the police - for the "great coffee".

Tarragona is located on the sunny ‘Costa Daurada‘, in southern Catalonia. With an inheritance dating back to local tribes, Carthaginians and Romans, it is today a vibrant cultural and economic centre. Don’t miss the ‘human towers’ during Tarragona’s Santa Tecla Festival, but check your hotel availability for the area with enough time in advance.
The ‘human towers’ became so popular all across Catalonia that they can be visited throughout the year at the festival centre ‘Casa de la Festa’. Try the local seafood dishes in El Serrallo fishing district, and don’t miss the wines from the area.
The city was an important provincial capital during Roman times and includes several UNESCO World Heritage sites, with the seaside amphitheatre from the 2nd century being the most relevant. The 12th-century Cathedral of St Mary was built on the site of a former Jupiter temple and a Muslim mosque, and mixes Romanesque and Gothic styles.
Reus Airport is a few kilometres outside the city, while Barcelona El Prat Airport is 90 km away. Tarragona is located near Salou resort, and hotels in the area are also very popular. Whether you need a guest house in the historic centre or a resort on the beach, check out the Tarragona accommodation deals on Booking.com!

I was only in tarragona for 1 day and night and could have stayed for much longer , I was situated in the old town which was great for bars and food all of which I found good value given the location . I loved the feel of the place even though I didnt visit the beaches and to me it still felt like a real Spanish city .

For us, Tarragonna was just the right size.
For us, Tarragonna was just the right size. You can walk everywhere. Sights were easily accessible and staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke English.
Some areas were a little shabby.
There seemed to be few "ordinary" restaurants offering set meals.

Lovely city to visit, you need at least a couple of days - I didn't manage to do everything I wanted to do in two days! Definitely do a free walking tour (e.g. Guru Walks) as you learn so much about the layers of history in the city. Lots of great places to eat, nice views, lovely beach and lots of options for longer walks out of the city (along the coast and to the aqueduct).

The thing that I like most is how the beaches are really clean and they have nice showers!!!
The only downside is that there’s loud noises in the night and if you have a baby that goes to sleep at 6:30 or 7:00 good luck with restaurants.

The coastal area was clean and well presented as was the old part of the city and the area immediately around it. Bus station area was of a similar standard, with available taxi’s at the bus station and the city station. There were plenty of things to see away from the beach area.

An interesting city, with a Roman forum and oher Roman remains. You can see people building the famous "towers" of Tarragona. The people are very nice and happy. The bakeries and pastry shops offer a great range of specialties.
The bad access to the Miracle beach was a problem for us. The city is not quite clean.
Excellent hotel, clean and modern, with lovely helpful staff.
Pool area was excellent, never had to go without a sun lounger, and good lunchtime menu.
Breakfast was excellent, lovely to eat around the pool.
Ten minute walk to the old town, which is beautiful, or the main town and beach, where there is lots of bars, cafes and restaurants. Really lovely town.
The location is superb for exploring the old town, beach and other areas. Its also a short walk from the train station but be mindful of all the steps and hills in Tarragona!
The staff were fantastic too. I’m a female solo traveler and they made me feel very safe and looked after.
The pool was also great to enjoy and cool down in.
We have stayed a few times and always love to return en route to travelling further south. The staff are friendly. Rooms are clean & tidy. Parking available on site.
Beautiful beach a few minutes walk from the hotel.
Taragona old town is impressive & worth a visit, however getting a taxi back to the hotel proved to be difficult.
Location is perfect - central in the old town. For us it was a good cheap solution for just having a place to crash in the evening. A cheap alternative if you want to spend a weekend in Tarragona to explore the city or go to the beach and you need just a place to shower and sleep.
Lovely apartment, spacious, clean and cosy. Great location, close to the beach, train station and the old town centre. Our host Kris was lovely. We had a great stay in Tarragona .
