The staff was very professional and welcoming to my limited spanish although each staff member was proficient in English.
The hotel is placed in a rather remote area with a bar where a lot of locals go to as well, which makes it very authentic.
The breakfast was amazing value!
Be advised that the region is in brown bear territory and that there are not a lot of easily (by car) accessible hiking routes close by. However, the ones that are available are of outstanding quality and beauty.

The location was great. Their are hikes right in the back. The staff were very helpful. I got there on my bike and they showed me great routes.

My only complaint would be they set the bar too high! I stayed here on my second night of this trip and have been thinking of it every day since.
The dinner was a spectacular bargain, 11 euro for a bottle of wine, appetizer (I think I had soup), main (there was a choice of beef cheek or pork cutlet with potatoes--to be honest I which I'd gotten the beef but the pork was also good, and dessert--i had basque cheesecake. Breakfast was also a great bargain with eggs, ham, bread, coffee and a piece of cake for 5 euro.
The bed was comfortable and the room had a nice view and was a good temperature.
