location is superb, this experience is not to be missed - the grand house in a tiny village in an enormous vineyard. the church has an amazing altar piece dating back to 1550, and referencing Bosch's Garden of Earthly Delights. the walks are fun, and lots to see.

Lovely small house in the town of San Vicente de la Soncierra. Two floors, so plenty of space for the two of us. Lots of dishes (also coffee and tea) and towels. Parking was available close to the house. Good firm mattresses. The beds were upstairs, so not for people with limited mobility.

The village is located in the heart of the wine region, about 10 minutes drive from Haro, where the large wineries are located ......although there are numerous small and large independent wineries all over. There is a lovely village square and the are several good bars and restaurants in the village.
I never realised what a beautiful region Rioja is. If you walk up to the top of the village there are 360 degrees of stunning views.

We stayed at this small hotel for one night. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by a very friendly receptionist who made us feel right at home and even provided excellent dinner recommendations.
The hotel itself boasts a rich history, with fascinating vintage furniture that adds a unique charm to the overall atmosphere. Our room was spacious and offered a lovely view of the city.
Overall, our stay was delightful, and the hotel’s character and exceptional service made it a memorable experience.
The hotel is a lovely historic restored building in a very attractive hill top village. It has a lovely garden, and the room had views over the vineyards and surrounding countryside. The room was light and airy, and beautifully furnished. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The manager was charming, helpful and gave information on local places to visit.m

Despite language barriers, the hospitality was some of the best that we have ever experienced. The apartment is situated in a wonderful location in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, close to the main square with cozy bars and restaurants. The facilities were excellent. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!
