A classic pilgrim albergue, rooms and bathroom were clean, there was a small kitchen, a free washing machine and plenty of sunny washing lines. It was also in the heart of the old town.

Wonderful hosts, who created a beautiful atmosphere where people could relax and meet one another. When I arrived they learned my name and made me feel very welcome. The dinner together in the evening was a beautiful moment to share with people from across the globe!

A large family room that has 4x bunk beds and a twin shower bathroom.
A smaller private area with 4xbeds and the option to have a private bathroom.
The smaller area is really two rooms but the adjoining wall is a roll down blind which makes contact easier when it is open. Beds were comfortable with sheet, pillowcase and blanket.
Kitchen is open plan with seating and tables for about 8 people at one time. Complimentary tea coffee is available. Fridge and washing/drying facilities .
The usual laundry service premises are available close by which can be easier to use.
Checkout listed at 8am. But a 9am was allowed on this stay.
Checkin details are self service with staff sending a door code with instructions on your stay. The room then is clearly marked with your name.

The visitors center was a pleasant experience. We were given a map of the town and the top sites to see if you had the time. We walked through their main park and had hoped to walk to the beach that was one of their top attractions. Beautiful plants and birds nested in the marsh areas, and even though we didn't walk far enough to get to the beach we loved the nature that was there at the inlet.

The only thing that disappointed me in Redondela, was a nearby restaurant "Casa Chano Restaurante". My son and I were very hungry and we were hoping for a "Pilgrim Menu". We walked in this restaurant and we were bowled over by the impeccable service. The lady even brought us complimentary empanadas. It seemed that two of the waiters spoke English. I was going for a fish dish that was under 15 Euros and my son had calamari that was reasonable. Well, they were out of the fish, so I pointed to a meat item. The large portion for a group is 35 Euro. The waiter said that I could have an individual portion for 12.50 euro. I was fine with that. We each had a beer and a flan for a dessert. I wanted to pay the bill so I gave my credit card and I was so pleased with the service that I gave $15 American dollars for a tip. One of the waiters who spoke English ran my card and it was not until I got back to my room that I had noticed that the bill was for 58 Euros. I was charged 35 Euros for the meat dish. I was flabbergasted as we were on a limited budget. I really felt it was only one person there because everyone else was exceptional. However, it did leave a sour taste.

The layout was odd and I think with a little renovation/reallocation of resources this could be a better place to stay. Many guestrooms and one bathroom, no sink in the breakfast area etc.
Perfect spot on the camino. 5km beyond Redondela. Woman who runs accommodation also appears to own & run the restaurant so is very busy. Booked us in & took our details & payment at bar. Very efficient. We were accompanied to the accomodation by a member of staff. Room spotless. Lovely view & bright airy room. Clothes line & sitting out areas provided. This accomodation a nice clean place while on camino. Close to Cesantes Town which have good supermarket & nice friendly bar. Recommend to try this out.
This is a lovely apartment, extremely spacious, right in the centre of Redondela. It had a lovely kitchen, a very comfortable living room and 3 bedrooms. Everything was spotless. There was a washing machine and a space to hang clothes up for drying - heaven after days of walking . Book this if you can get it!
The host is very lovely and welcoming. The property is beautiful and lots of space for everyone to chill out. You are north of Redondela town so you get a head start on the Camiño the next morning.
