The hotel is beautiful and the beach stunning. The rooms are absolutely lovely. Unfortunately we had some issues on New Years Eve. Because a gala dinner was held at the hotel none of the residents who were not attending were able to use any of the facilities including bar , restaurant and gym. We were not notified of this in advance. Not one restaurant in the local area was open (not the hotel’s fault) apart from pricy set dinners. We ended up with room service and only managed this after having to be quite insistent . I’m not sure what we would have done otherwise ! I did put in a complaint and the duty manager offered us brunch (another all day thing meaning we couldn’t even get access to a coffee in the morning ). We had already eaten elsewhere. I then asked if we could have dinner but the menu was very limited. Due to lack of sleep because of the noise and no access to facilities I asked for the refund for the night of 31st, this was immediately declined , there was a group of 6 of us so I paid almost £500 for the night , which was the second of three. We did have breakfast free of charge in the morning , again not the usual buffet breakfast but service and quality was very good. We did not expect total silence or anything on New Year’s Eve but the gala dinner was extremely expensive , not tailored to guests , and stopped any guests not attending from even getting a drink in the bar (we had no warning and had already booked anyway before this dinner was announced). I would say definitely stay here (it’s stunning with every possible comfort) but you may want to check if there is an event before booking .
This modern and well-equipped hotel is located in the town centre of Puzol, 4 km from the beach. Set between the mountains and the sea, this is the ideal base for visiting the Valencian region.
There isn't much to do in El Puig, to be honest. We stayed there because were invited to a wedding at La Cartuja, which is a very nice place.
We took advantage to visit the Monasterio de Santa María del Puig (guided tours during the morning) in the center of town and the Printing Museum, in the same Monastery building. Both were nice. About 25 minutes heading North we visited the Coves de St. Josep, in which you take a boat ride on the longest underground waterway in Europe! And further 60 minutes North, on the coast, the beautiful town of Peñíscola.

The room was clean and the view and the pool were fantastic.
The room was clean and the view and the pool were fantastic. . This would be a great place for anyone who did not have to have wifi. Also, there were no restaurants within walking distance. The lack of reliable wifi and other restaurants is the reason I would not return.
