Hotel El Mirador de Fuerteventura, hotel in Puerto del Rosario

Set in Puerto del Rosario, 100 metres from Playa Blanca, Hotel El Mirador de Fuerteventura offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

I liked the overall location at the beach close to Puerto del Rosario and the proximity to the airport (as a matter of fact it is the only real hotel I could find in the whole town). - New, nicely decorated, spacious place that would definitely make a great choice for a longer stay too.

Apartamentos Tao Laia, hotel in Puerto del Rosario

Apartamentos Tao Laia is situated in Puerto del Rosario, 600 metres from Playa Chica, 2.3 km from Playa Blanca, and 400 metres from Casa Museo Unamuno Fuerteventura.

Location and facilities were perfect. Good looking apartment on 1st floor was a good thing for me, since there is not a lift in the house. Wonderful cafés around, short trip to the mall and buses. About the best accommodation I've had in my 4 trips to Fuerteventura.

El atardecer, hotel in Puerto del Rosario

Set in Puerto del Rosario, El atardecer offers accommodation with a rooftop pool, a terrace and sea views. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony.

Where do I start with this beautiful place ! The hosts are so friendly and makes sure your are settled in. There was a bottle of wine and water ready for our arrival. Airport is only 5 minutes away. The view of the sea is lovely and the private swimming pool is just outside the door surrounded by loungers, tables and soft artificial grass. Also has a top terrace where you can eat your meals, enjoy coffee in the morning with the sunset rising just in front. They provide shampoo etc and coffee/sugar which is handy not to have to bring or buy. It is a bit secluded so will need either a hire car or taxi to get to town/shops. Lidl is only €6 cab drive away also the nearest town Puerto Del Rosario. There is also Caleta de fuste about 10 minutes away which is nice too. We took our 2 year old and the cor was already nicely put up for our arrival. Highly recommend !

The bed is very confortable, the windows have mosquito nets, the water pressure when you shower is excellent and you can take a long shower without worrying that the water will get cold and of course we really loved the jacuzzi.

    It is quiet and traditional.

It is quiet and traditional. There are some beautiful buildings and a lot of sculptures and murals. It is a bit run-down - a lot of bars and shops near the sea front are closed. It seems to suffer from a lack of tourism because of the popularity of modern resorts on Fuerteventura.

I did a lot of research and the best value for money car hire, and I used them for a month, was Autoreisen at the airport. I went for a cycling holiday, but not too strenuous, and there are a good few miles of relatively flat tracks along the sea front, either side of and through, puerto del rosario. I was a little unlucky with quite high winds, a bit out of character for February/March. Aldi, Lidl and the large chain Spanish supermarkets available in easy car distance. I don't know why but the locals and visitors are much more friendly on Fuerteventura than they were on Lanzarote when i went there for a month last year.

This is a real town for locals not primarily tourists , there less restaurants than more tourist places and they are dotted about the town. It’s got a port and harbour as well as a small beach and a massive shopping centre . Generally the place looks like it’s undergone some improvements, paving, buildings etc , away from the port area there are new , old and abandoned areas all in various stages but I always felt safe. There doesn’t seem to be much nightlife unless we just didn’t find it, even at weekends. We were lucky to be there for the carnival so that was interesting. It’s ideally located to tour the island as we did in our 2 weeks stay.

It's not a fancy touristy town but we loved it.

It's not a fancy touristy town but we loved it. If you prefer to live like the locals and stay away from mass tourism it is perfect. It is also perfectly located to reach both the north, the south and the west it the island.

This is not a resort, but a real, working port.

This is not a resort, but a real, working port. For me, that was the charm - there are tourists here, but most of the people around are clearly Spanish. The front is pleasant to walk along with lots of places to sit in the sun. There are lots of great cafes and bars, too, and a large shopping centre with up-market shops. The Miguel Unamuno house is worth a visit. Nice town.

Apartamentos Almirante is very good value. Not in the center of town but this is not an issue in a small town like Puerto del Rosario. The Apartment had everything I needed. A number of very good restaurants are in walking distance. A basic grocery store is pretty much just outside the front door. The area is quiet at night. I had the apartement with the terrace, the terrace is walled in on all four sides. It is visible from above but very good for breakfast and dinner. Overall, I can very much recommend Apartamentos Almirante.

Comfy, spacious apartment, in central location in Puerto del Rosario. Eva is a great host, she responded super quickly to all of our questions and approached us proactively with lots of info. We were welcomed with bottles of water and sweets, which we very much appreciated.
