Good location. Comfortable bed. Excellent information assistance from staff. We were there for two nights and as usual we opted not to have a cleaning/laundry service during our stay. As a a reward for this eco choice we received a drinks voucher for the pleasant roof top bar.

Lovely hotel right in the centre of Ourense. Nice spacious room with balcony. The staff were very helpful and professional. The breakfast was wonderfully comprehensive. The spa a great option to relax after a long days walk on the Camino.

Silvia was kind enough to let us check in early. She met us outside. She was very quick and efficient going over everything. Our studio was located on the 2nd floor. This meant 5 sets of 5 steps. Not a problem unless you maybe have large rolling bags. The steps are wood with a nice height and width. We stayed Tues-Thurs noise was not a problem. When all is closed on the windows it keeps the noise out. The windows have a metal roller shade, glass locking doors and wood shutters. See picture. Nice to be able to see the activity on the street. Nice heater/AC unit. Will stocked with everything you need to be comfortable. Bed and couch are comfortable. Nice table to eat and play cards on. We would recommend this studio. I posted 2 pictures. One showing the entrance from the road and the other picture of 1 of the 2 nice windows.

The city is very pleasant.
Since it was August and it was very hot, you don't see anyone out, it's like a ghost town, but arround 9pm the whole city comes to live and the Casco Viejo get's full of people.
The city is very walkable.

A lovely place especially as it was just before Christmas and the place was lit up. The people were great.Reindeer pulling Santa’s slay was a huge surprise. We didn’t go to the thermal pools, one was being refurbished, one was flooded due to the river being high and the other didn’t appeal.

Very difficult town to navigate as buildings are many...
Very difficult town to navigate as buildings are many stories high so no visual points of reference. Also if driving most streets are one way. It took us ages to find our hotel despite SatNav. We only stopped one night and where happy to move on.

We stopped for one night along a trip from Vigo to Astorga...
We stopped for one night along a trip from Vigo to Astorga to experience the thermal springs. In the morning we bought towels at the Bazaar down the street, ate breakfast and headed to Outariz parking. A short walk to the pedestrian bridge over the Miño river got us to the free termals. It was very nice. We will be back!

Ourense was okay.
Ourense was okay. You heard a lot of noice in the appartment, the traffic light for pedestrians sounded like an alarm, very annoying. Also the appartment had a very unnice smell. The checking in and out was not easy, we received 4 keys, and the parking of the car was only possible from the moment of the check in.

Ourense is a beatifull town.
Ourense is a beatifull town. With historic places to visit, excellent restaurants, nice to walk and close to other cities like Vigo and Santiago. The high way is perfect to visit close cities. People is very nice and the carnival, a local feria is excellent.
Carris Cardanel Ourense
Very large room and bathroom with dark wood furniture on third floor reached by lift. Very clean. Two large Juliet balcony doors which open on to street below, quiet at night. Fridge and safe in cupboard. Paid hotel parking (€10/12 a day)next to hotel below ground. Breakfast good. 5/10 minute walk to the beautiful and extensive old town. Visited the Thermal Baths (termas de outariz) and spent a very relaxing 2 hours there. Walked along river to get there (6 km) and got the number 5 bus back to town.
The hotel is located in a neighborhood on the outskirts of the city. But not very far from the center. You can go walking to the Cathedral in 18 minutes. Orense is not a big city.
Besides, this neighborhood is on a hill with good views over the city, small and traditional houses are there.
I had to get an early train so the hotel was pefectly located just a couple of minutes' walk from the station. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. There was plenty of hot water and a good shower. It was quiet and I slept well.
