We absolutely loved our stay. We've felt very welcomed by the owner Miguel who you could always text or call for advice. The little town itself is cute and has everything you need.
The apartment was super clean, little, cozy and just what we needed for our days there. Would definitely recommend and book again for sure.

Everything great !
Super nice people, room was tidy, big enough and comfy.
Jacuzzi and pool outside.
Wifi available.
The house was wonderful. The coastline is spectacular.
The house was wonderful. The coastline is spectacular. The places to swim are the natural bathing pools built into the beaches and replenished by the tide. The sea was strong, and more suited to surfing, of which there was plenty.

We stayed in Fontanales which is about 300m higher and 15 min further into the mountains from Moya. Fontanales is a small village it has three restaurants but only one is open in the evening. The other two seem to just offer lunch for people coming into the mountains for the day. Fontanales is ideal for a walking holiday in the central part of Gran Canaria with walking routes directly out of the village. Moya has more shops and resturants and is close to the Los Tilos ecosystem information centre.

A rental car is essential to really exploring the island, especially for fans of hiking in nature. The location is only about 20 minutes drive from Las Palmas and convenient to exploring archaeological and natural park sites in the interior. Every day was a lovely itinerary with several stops. Petrol is very cheap still €1.20 liter. Roads and drivers are challenging but not overwhleming.

A great place to stay with a large salt water pool.
A great place to stay with a large salt water pool. Toilets and showers near the pool. Unfortunately the large restaurant on the beach we saw in 2017 has closed. There are several snack bars serving simple local dishes. El Charco and El Oleaje were excellent value.
It does get very busy around the pool with locals on Sundays.
A nice walk on flat ground runs along the road to San Felipe, past the very busy motorhome camping site.
Moya has a bus stop for the local bus. Easy to find by car from the airport. I would return to this area.

The community of Moya spans a large area from seaside to up in the mountains. There's a variety of small and quiet villages, and the town of Moya itself. The latter is a local mountain-town, with little tourist facilities but a few great restaurants for local cuisine. The seaside has a few rocky beaches and some fine restaurants as well, but due to the rather wild ocean surf is not the best place on the island for a beach outing.

Spacious, quiet, comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with an induction hob and good quality pots and pans - it made cooking a pleasurable experience. The apartment is right in the middle of Moya, with access to some hikes from the town. The owners are very responsive and provided us with a gift basket, fruit and some wine and beer - a lovely touch.
- everything is very clean, modern, bright and spacious. Feels more like a hotel than a hostel.
- enough space and a locker in the dorm
- the best volunteer ever :) if you're lucky, you will get to enjoy one of his delicious friday evening dinners
- great community of long-time guests, I got a very warm welcome
- nice restaurant with fresh and healthy food
We had such a wonderful time at Casa Marjoes in Cabo Verde, Moya. This small mansion looks even better in real life and the view from the terrace is simply breathtaking. It is the perfect place to spend time with your loved ones. We had a barbecue for my son's birthday party and we had so much fun at the pool afterwards. We'll definitely be back!
Close to Moya where I had to go for a race.
Rooftop with a nice view on the sea.
Kitchen available .
A bar/restaurant at the side but it seems only low qual fast food.
Room had some space and things to put clothes.
Everything was amazing! Ready-to-help owners, big and modern, fully equipped appartment. Excellent communication. Will never forget, eager to return to beautiful Moya!
