The most exclusive Costa del Sol resort, Marbella stands for beaches and beautiful people. Expensive yachts line the marinas here and in nearby Puerto Banús, where supercars outnumber saloons. It also has the best clubs, as well as designer shops and trendy fish restaurants. Look out for the celebrities that holiday here or live on the Golden Mile, home to only the fanciest villas and Marbella hotels.
Marbella beaches stretch over 16 miles, all set against the backdrop of spectacular mountains, best viewed from a boat. You might even spot a dolphin. The beaches at Puerto Banús and San Pedro Alcántara have a Blue Flag, while the most popular are Venus and La Fontanilla in the town centre. Artola Beach also has protected dunes.
Attractions in Marbella include the 10 Dalí sculptures on Avenida del Mar, and the cobbled Old Town streets lined with colourful Andalusian-style houses. Picturesque Orange Square has pavement cafes under the shade of orange trees, and nearby are remains of a Moorish castle and the 16th-century town walls.
Other well-heeled pursuits include horseracing at the Hipodromo Costa del Sol, and the area’s golf courses, including one designed by national hero Seve Ballesteros.
Malaga Airport is the nearest and Booking.com has a great range of accommodation in Marbella and the surrounding villages.
Marbella is an excellent centre for all ages. Have been regular visitor for 25 + years. But please think Marbella, NOT Puerto Banus! Huge variety of restaurants and bars, beaches, clubs. Easy access to all parts of the Costa del Sol and the hills behind.

We like Marbella because you can walk along the promenade by the sea for a long way and unlike so many resorts worldwide, there is no main road with traffic on the other side from the sea. So we find it very relaxing. If you want to stop and just enjoy the sea views, there are many cafes. For a change of scene, Orange Square and the Old Town are endlessly fascinating and we have stayed several times within the Old Town and enjoyed wandering the narrow streets and exploring the lively shops, restaurants and bars. Marbella is very international and very relaxed and if you like a buzz when you are on holiday, you will enjoy it.

Very nice town, with many restaurants with local food. Live music and of course flamenco. El Patio de Mariscal was great, they have good food and surprise us with a unexpected live music number. You have to go there to see what about. And also Restaurante Marbella Patio was great.

We have been visiting Marbella for the last 16 years, we know our way around, I love the walk from the hotel to Puerto Banús and the water taxi back, we enjoy the tapas bars and especially garum restaurant on the front, we are both in our 70’s and find Marbella quite safe .

Hotel Claude exceeded our expectations in every way. The location is perfect; just steps away from dozens of boutiques, restaurants, and cafes. The rooms are beautifully decorated and clean.
Breakfast was delicious every day, some of the best meals we had in Spain.
Most importantly, the service was impeccable. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable and well-taken-care of.
I can't recommend Hotel Claude highly enough. I will definitely return when I visit Marbella again.
The hotel was in a very good location, close to the beach and a short walk from Puerto Banus centre. It was set in beautiful grounds with two lovely pools. We loved the fact that it had a Spanish style. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the pool. The included breakfast provided a good choice of food. However, as with lots of Spain, there was little provision for vegetarian/vegan diets. My daughter and I had a very enjoyable stay.
Everything including staff were way beyond my expectations, nothing was a problem.. always willing to help and ensuring I had no issues.. and making great suggestions on restaurants ro try near by.. which turned out to be the best food I've eaten.
Beautiful hotel and very very safe space.. 5 stars from me *****
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to a fellow friend travelling..
Located in the heart of Marbella, close to bars and restaurants, two minutes walk to the beach and five minutes to the old town we felt this was the perfect location in Marbella. The hotel was extensively refurbished just a few years ago to a very high standard. Rooms are nice, big beds and a little balcony to sit out and watch the world go by.
Location was perfect, in the heart of Marbella. Close to public transport, old Town and the beach. There was a nice area in the hotel to sit outside but we didn’t get the chance as it was a short stay and we were very busy. Also the hotel was very clean, good value and I would definitely stay there again.
