Very comfortable and clean hotel. Perfect location. The food also was very delicious. I was impressed how many efforts were taken by staff cooking mini things, like canapés or small portions of various salads. This is not usual in the hotels I suppose..
Several times there were a chocolate fondue very liked by kids.
The room was cleaned every day and the towels were changed every day as well.
The hotel is located on the promenade with lot of shops, the destination to the sea just some few meters.
The staff is very polite and friendly.
We spent 17 days and are thankful for the wonderful atmosphere and emotions we got.
Enjoy sun, sea and sand in Malgrat de Mar. You can soak up the Spanish sun by the pool, head to the nearby beach and then relax with a game of pool after a buffet meal.

Friendly and helpful staff although very little English spoken by the ones we dealt with but it wasn't a problem.

Good for young people or low budget. I went there with on a one weekend low-budget getaway, so for me everything was ok and fun, we knew what to expect, however the area is very loud. German, french, uk tourists everywhere and everything is thought around that type of tourism. Big families or big groups of young people on like graduation travels. You will not find a nice quiet restaurant here, however there are lots of shops, game zones and terraces for families with kids.

I first visited the area in 2004 on a coach tour, I've now been there four times including the coach tour. Twice I stayed at the same property near the train station and this last time the other end of town close to Santa Susanna. I don't plan on going back in the foreseeable future but I would recommend anyone going to that area. If you have a car visit Tossa de Mar, very picturesque and a lovely drive through the mountains. Calalla is cheaper for food than Malgrat de Mar.

Two cities are very near from the Malgrat de Mar.
Two cities are very near from the Malgrat de Mar. The Botanical garden in Blanes is very beautiful & offers stunning view of the rocky sea side. The Castle in the Tossa de Mar is also must visiting attraction. A boat ride with glass bottom gives glimpse of sea bed & it takes into the caves formed over the millions of years.

When we first arrived we didn’t know that the train line runs straight past the hotels, no all only on the main street, as we arrived late at night. Nor did we know that if you have a transfer they drop you off in the street and have to use the subway to reach some hotels, ours being one. You really must ask for detailed directions from the driver as our first driver didn’t, just said down there nor did he tell us where to go for our return journey. Saying that having the train line in front of our hotel we didn’t hear them much and they don’t go on all night. We have just returned from our 3rd trip so it hasn’t put us off! This time we used a taxi as it turned out around the same price as a transfer but we went from Girona airport, which is closer, straight out the airport and straight into a taxi and dropped off right outside hotel. Nice shops, restaurants, bars and a train station. Train cost around 10 euros to Barcelona. There is a vegan restaurant in the old town. Found Malgrat de Mar to be a friendly place to be in. We stayed in an adult only hotel so can’t really comment on entertainment for children. We did see large inflatables in the sea though don’t know how old children have to be to us them. There is quite a bit of graffiti, which is a shame as our first reaction was shock but we got past that once we had a look round. It’s not party central but does have the bars that I could only wish I got ID for! We went to a bar called Champions, which families use and the younger ones use as a start off point. Just down from there is a tobacconist where you can also exchange your money. Hope this was of some use.

We went for 4 days organised by a others I personally wouldn’t pick the resort again because I drive for work this place is is really far from Barcelona airport that renting a car was the just another expense that and an hours drive then parking not ideal for our hotel , taxi costs € 155 from Barcelona and the same back although if don’t mind trains and public transport it’s a lot cheaper but do research routes etc as they take longer . The beach isn’t great , man made and very stoney and not enjoyable for casual use , local food was good though

Some nice bars and a few restaurants but not masses of choice.. lots of graffiti everywhere even on the trains!
It was a little bit smelly in places. I preferred Blanes and would travel there next time.
The hotel had plenty of sunbeds to choose from. The staff were very nice who brought you food/ drinks. Reasonably priced if you dont book all inclusive as well. Lots of cocktails to choose from.
The breakfast was lobely, lots to choose from. pancakes, churros, cooked breakfast, fruit etc.
The reception staff were lovely & very helpful.
The location was great, Straight out of the hotel and onto the main front promenade.
The hotel was very clean, facilities were great. The buffet breakfast was great, everything we needed. The pool was a little chilly (June) but actually once we got in, it was very refreshing! Location was great, some lovely bars/restaurants on the road. Highly recommend Maui Beach Bar/Steakhouse!!
I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Moreover, its proximity to the beach was a plus. I also found Malgrat de Mar to be a charming city.
Pools were great, one is adult only and it is quite and relaxing. Balcony was very big and nice as well. No big difference from their ‘3 star’ part (two connected buildings) of hotel if you are thinking which rate to pay.
The hotel is beautifully renovated and beautifully furnished! The staff is very nice and helpful! The food selection is plentiful and very tasty! The pools were also very pleasant. The programs are also very good!
