An earlier part of the family trip had been stressful, and this little place was welcoming and its traditional charm with the wooden beams, lovely old rooms and the small balconies with the swallows flying in and out to their nests, and sometimes a cat on the street were so peaceful. When my granddaughter and I went hungrily to the café by the cathedral food had stopped. But they made us potatoes and mayonnaise. The home owners are so kind too. It is really relaxing and peaceful. A favourite place. Lovely walks by the river.

Very rural, peaceful village location. Super warm and genuine welcome from the owner. Building and rooms are old, historic and beautifully presented. Evening meal was simple and good value . As was breakfast, simple but totally adequate. We were on a 12 day cycle / hotel trip and this hotel was easily the loveliest and most memorable stay

It was an incredible building, full of antiques and collectables. The en suite shower room was lovely and the shower was very powerful. I would recommend this hotel to everyone, it's a truly beautiful unique building.
The view from the terraza was just unbelievable. Well worth the trip to this small town en route to another destination. The room was large and clean, the hotel cute and accessible and the owner and workers were kind and hospitable. Small outdoor pool, but perfect for a dip in the sunshine. Quiet, rolling hills, fields of sunflowers, a windmill in the distance. Perfect place to chill and recharge. You can stare at the view while in the shower, enjoy a coffee on the terrace and enjoy meals at the Gastropub 2 minutes away. Jacuzzi and sauna available for each room privately. There is a schedule according to who arrived first that day, so you need to wait your turn, but can enjoy for a full hour. This was a very special place. Not a ton of activities and a very small town but perfect for a night or two to take in the spectacular countryside.
