The room and hotel were beautiful. First room we were given was in the attic. Not so great, but I asked if we could switch to a different room and lucky for us they had an free room available which was very nice and was what I had been expecting / matched the photos online. We also had dinner at the hotel which was very nice. Service and food were great.

The location, close to the City center is perfect. The rumor was very well appointed, rather large by European standards, and the staff was very helpful.

Area around palace quaint & attractive. We stayed a night on our return journey. We found it difficult to book accessible room On Booking.com. The Parador.es website is excellent. We booked half board so ate in hotel.

It was a handy overnight stop en route to Bilbao.
It was a handy overnight stop en route to Bilbao. Very attractive small town , stunning parador/palace, could easily have spent longer there but on this occasion a day was sufficient. There are several pleasant little squares, galleried streets and attractive looking eateries, though the town is dominated by the palace in the Plaza Major. Ate in the parador, very good quality , around 50e per head. Not particularly much for families with young children in Lerma, but for a treat as an overnight stay in a palace , this is a must !

Lerma is good for a overnight stay on the way up or from Santander ferry to an ongoing trip. The Parador (fort) is worth a quick visit and a couple of small churches and Monasteries and a old walled gate to visit if you have a bit more time

Stayed at Hotel Alisa which was very good having previously stayed at the Parador which is now very expensive. The Alisa is a 20 minute walk to the old town of Lerma which has an interesting square, church and convent. The Parador, formally a Ducal Palace, is also on the square and open to non residents, it is a must to go for a drink in and is steeped in history. The only issue may be the steep but short walk up from the main road, it is about 500m long but there is a nice bar half way up and several bars at the square. There are several restaurants in side streets off the square that specialise in the local roast meats.

We really enjoyed staying in a converted palace.
We really enjoyed staying in a converted palace. The building was fabulous! The rooms themselves were not overly impressive but they were nice and the bed was comfortable. It's not upscale but the experience was unique and we all really enjoyed our stay.

noisiest place and hotel i have ever been too, room on second floor,no lift, not suitable for elderly,7 rooms in a seven metre passage, other guests very noisy all night, from vehicles and locals.parking was not easy. would not stay there again.
I’ve stayed at this hotel many times as it is such a good stop over on the way south from the ferry. A busy yet quiet hotel with massive car park. The rooms are dated but are well equipped unfortunately without aircon but fans are supplied. The hotel has a fine restaurant which serves fantastic food to cater for most tastes. Although dated I rate this hotel highly and recommend you try it.
Great location for the town and close to the main town square for parking (free). The hotel is one of the very few modern building in the town and is a very clean and functional budget hotel. Breakfast is basic but well served.
The room was large &, also the main hotel central lounge was amazing. Very good location on the way to Santander.
Fabulous Lamb for dinner with a good wine. Breakfast was good.
We had a lovely room and an excellent breakfast. The hotel is in a central location in the town close to free parking. We would always stay here when passing through Lerma.
