Hotel is good, very clean but as other guests say, the sickness bug is everywhere. I was violently sick (1st time for drcades). Its definitely food related. I don't eat meat but eat fish. When meat or fish is cooked, they put in a holding dish and wonder if Victoria buildup in holding dish. Was in Gloria Palace 2 weeks ago and all neat/fish is cooked directly from chef onto users plate so I would suggest Riu do that. If you avoid the sickness, the hotel us generally good but seems this been going on for years so evidently a food preparation issue. Saying that, there's a good selection of food if you can avoid the sickness.

Location was excellent, about a 3 min walk to the centre- although there is 100 steps to go up/down. Breakfast was lovely in the mornings.. buffet fry ups to cereals and fruit. Staff were very friendly. Staff also organised transfers for the airport which worked out cheaper than booking online.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. Our daughter was sick in the beginning and staff was very aware and helpful to clean the room. General cleaning was provided everyday. The 2 entertainers team, Patrik and John were very sweet people, taking care of their guests and doing different sort of activities, which keeps you activated. There is also a children club with different activities, toys, outside games for adults too. We did not use much of the other facilities as dinner. The heated pool was great, but a little too warm for me:) There is also a shallow children pool. The view to the ocean is mesmerising.
