Breakfast and dinner were ok rather than good. Choice for non meat eaters wasn't great, but we didn't expect it to be.

This hotel is level-up above many-many-many hotels in Spain. It's made with high quality, interiors in common areas are very nice decorated and stylish, equipped with nice and quality furniture, super clean. The hotel is located waterfront, you can hear tides from room windows. Breakfast worth a special words - it's an art - fresh and tasty set of different meal, beautifully served, we enjoyed it both physically and mentally)
Location is an extra benefit - it is located on the sea-side, waterfront, near the beach, and at the same time it's a just 10-15 minutes walk along the pedestrian embankment to marina with yachts and restaurants on the opposite side of the sea spit.
Set in an unrivalled hillside position with panoramic views, these well-equipped apartments and stylish guestrooms are perfect enjoying all La Manga Club has to offer.
Aparthotel Villas La Manga offers 60 separate, air-conditioned studio apartments with balconies, just a short stroll from the sandy Mar Menor Beach and the clear blue Mediterranean.

One thing I really enjoyed about La Manga is that it remains a predominantly Spanish beach destination. There are few foreign tourists. I was traveling with my two boys (French) so that they could see their friend (Spanish) whose family has a home on the beach. Honestly, there is not a lot to do in Lamanga outside of the usual beach activities. But if you have a car, go karting and jet skiing is available outside of the center. There is a municipal multisport complex with a decent gym, Basketball courts, soccer field, and I believe… padel courts. We did not pay, but I think there is an extremely reasonable registration fee for some of the activities. We did not pay, but I think there is an extremely reasonable registration fee for some of the activities. There is a jet ski rental point across the road.
There is not a lot of high-end dining with the exception of a few restaurants near the lighthouse, but you can eat well and fairly cheaply. My boys fell in love with the kebabs, which actually look more like Mexican burritos when they are served.
All in all, we had a pleasant stay. The beaches are very typically southern Europe – dense, darker sand, mixed with pebbles and rocks and acceptable waves. in my humble opinion, there is a lack of sufficient beach clubs, or as they’re called in Spain, chiringuitos, offering lounge chairs and umbrellas. Be prepared to haul everything you need to the beach.

Great location on a small land strip of ca. 20km length between Mediterranean sea and the mar menor.
Most of the time you drive the main road and you see both together.
Lovely beaches and coolers like in tropical waters.
Sunsets are unbeatable and lots of terraces available to have a drink and watch it.
Beginning of the land strip is more touristic and party, towards the end it becomes more quiet and family friendly.

La Manga felt a little out of the way because it wasn't easy getting to some places outside the area. However, La Manga itself was very nice. The people were helpful and friendly.
Due to the time of year (beginning of September) and the weather, many shops and restaurants didn't open.

It'll be nice when it's finished, all the buildings were empty, no bar's shop's clubs etc., the whole area was like a ghost town or war zone. Nothing to do at all, the beach was clean but there was nothing to do there, no facilities at all, nothing, nada. On reflection there may have been one bar open in the evenings, near to the hotel but we didn't go to it, as it's so deserted there I wouldn't have like to walk around at night.

La Manga (The Sleeve) is a long strip of land separating the Med from the Mar-Menor. It varies in its width and is heavily built up in most places.
Some buildings are new, some old, some demolished or need to be!
Awesome beaches with either both Med and Mar-Menor to choose from, So choose your location carefully and you will have a nice time.

The most amazing view from our bedroom, it honestly was like a picture, we could not fault the bedroom and location of the hotel but we were there when the Spanish pensioners take their government holidays so the hotel was full. The buffet was geared towards the Spanish which was very poor, hardly any selection and if you were a vegetarian it was chips and salad. such a shame as the views and rooms are amazing.
Very nice hotel and we where so lucky to get a room with a pool/sea view.
Because of that you could enjoy the afternoon sun on your balcony all the
with into the sunset with a great view. Also the breakfast buffet is excellent.
