It was a lovely clean hotel right near to the beach in San Jose. Rooms were big, bright, very clean. Breakfast was very good with an excellent staff member in the breakfast room she was so attentive and courteous to everyone.

Great location ....very quiet. Beds very comfy and bedding excellent quality. Slept really well.It was great having a fridge...so we could enjoy a glass of wine before going to bed.

Waking distance (or a 2 minute ride) from the highest rated beach in Cabo de Gata (el Playazo) La Ermita was designed, built and is maintained by Renata. Her vision of creating comfort incorporating ancient stone structures and Spanish architecture create a serene environment and private stay. Our home included a large private courtyard patio off the spacious kitchen and a rooftop dining patio with an ocean view. The beach is easily accessible, large and a short walk on the coast to a castle resting on limestone bluffs full of fossilized sea shells. Additional trails both directions from this beach walk the dramatic coastline in both directions.

Great town, especially in the more tranquil times of the year. We were able to enjoy the local restaurant's and bars without having to wait or make a reservation. The beaches were quiet and nearly empty.
It was easy for us to walk to and from our lodging.
