It was in a great location for us, close to family and a walk from shop and bars.
The apartment is in a beautiful complex and is modern with everything needed in there.
The owners were great even giving a video to get us there and show the key safe and location. Excellent start to the stay

This is a traditional small community with low speed life mode, excellent roads, nicely groomed parks, many parking options, small cafes with home made food - fresh and very affordable considering it's price. Shopping, spa and fine dining are not strong points here. All supermarkets are at a distance, not convenient without a car. Though if you walk along the streets, the atmosphere and architecture inspires you. The whole area is very safe and clean.

My trip was in November for two nights only. Not much to be seen of the seaside activities at that time, though the ecology, cleanness and calm sea are impressive. Local people are calm, speak some English. The local café food is extremely fresh and well done. No places of interest within the walking distance, only a modern catholic church.

Hilly but beautiful area with great choice of restaurants and bars. We found people were v friendly and we loved the wonderful walks along the beaches. We found a wonderful Italian restaurant called “ La Glera” would highly recommend and also the Pub La Bodguita , wonderful service.

Cala de Mijas is a small place with plenty of eateries and less busy than the larger resorts. It is easy to get to other resorts for the day due to the excellent transport links or coach and rail services

It's got everything you need for a fantastic holiday.
The restaurants are all amazing, priced well, lots of choice too.
Lovely shops, cafes and a great market on Wednesday & Saturday.
Great bus & taxi services.

It is growing in popularity but still has a small town...
It is growing in popularity but still has a small town spanish feel about it. Very safe at night and we enjoyed the Fair. Lots of places to eat and drink and the beach is great. A good location to visit other places nearby such as Marbella or Mijas itself.

The location perfect, I am a frequent visitor to this area of the Costa Del Sol and this is by far the best place Ive stayed. I will certainly be using this apartment again. Due to having a car, the apartment has its own underground secure parking space as well as ample parking outside on the street. You have an Aldi for all your shopping needs across the street and you are a 5 minute walk into the beautiful small town of La Cala de Mijas.
The property was perfect ,spacious And clean .The staff wear amazing and so welcoming and friendly ,patient.I always pay for 5stars accommodation thinking it will always be better ! However in this case I was wrong and this hotel apartment exceed my expectations and provided a great holiday family experience for all of us .The rooms where big and clean and the WiFi worked everywhere in the resort at all time .
The staff where great, friendly and always with a smile. The room was very clean and and kept that way by the maid. Would recommend The Carmen Hotel to everyone.
