Breakfast was outstanding. Such a big selection. The pool area was nice but unfortunately covered with pigeons and could have had a cleaner deck. Even so the hotel was wonderful, great staff, excellent breakfast. I will return next summer.

There's no shortage of horse statues all over town and a park houses the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, a dressage riding school with public performances. The annual Jerez Horse Fair is an even more spectacular event that takes over the whole town. Lovely city with lots to see. I visited the Tio Pepe bodega and the tour was excellent . The back streets and the squares of the old town are very lively especially at night and we visited some really good reasonably priced restaurants.

The city of Jerez de La Frontera was a pleasant surprise, very beautiful, well-kept, clean and organized. Don't forget to visit the Mercado de Abastos (Mon-Fri 9am - 1pm), the Cathedral, the San Miguel Church, Alcazar and Turquish Bath and also a visit to Bodegas Tipo Pepe - Gonzales Byass. In the morning, enjoy an authentic churro in the city's many churrarias (we recommend the one in front of the Mercado de Abastos). In short, it is a city that deserves a visit as it is a great example of the Andalucia region.

We visited Jerez for the Tio Pepe Music Festival.
We visited Jerez for the Tio Pepe Music Festival. We know Jerez well and visit frequently, we don’t always stop over night.
Taxis are plentiful and reasonably priced. I went out for dinner whilst my wife and daughter attended the concert. I was accompanied by our dog. I chose the hotel because it was pet friendly. Restaurants are within walking distance and reasonably priced. I chose a local Chinese Restaurant and was offered an English Menu, even though I speak reasonable Spanish.

Jerez is totally walkable to see all the main sites ; can all be done in 1 day if time is tight, in my opinion.
Plenty of laid back restaurants and bars ; it has character and a nice vibe to it - definitely worth a visit - and close to Cadiz which is also definitely a city to visit.

The hotel is well located a short walk from the centre and there are numerous car parks available ( frankly you don't want to drive in the centre!)
The manager was friendly and very happy to help. It's basic with no frills but clean and comfortable, we will return and have no hesitation in recommending it! Bars and cafe in the town all do breakfast until 12 so that's the best option, sit in the square and watch the world go by.
El Balcón de la Bodega was an absolutely amazing space, incredibly well located and beautifully decorated with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. It's located near the Casco Antiguo and close to many bodegas, cafes and restaurants and there is ample free street parking right outside. This is one of the best apartments we've stayed in in Europe, certainly in Spain. Highly recommended!
Well nothing this time, it was disappointing being our 38th Wedding Anniversary this was suppose to be a special occasion holiday spending 8 days in Portugal and 10 days in Spain.
Beds were OK, bathroom was excellent.
There's nothing more I can say.
This was our 2nd visit, the first one was excellent, room location and how superior it looked.
The rooms were ok but lacked what I would expect in a 4 star hotel. The best think going for this hotel was its location. I am assuming that as the Soho group have taken it over standards will improve.
