What a find! Stayed in Herrera del Duque a few times before but just for an overnight stay when passing thro’ so never ventured this far back into the town and hadn’t realised what a gem of a town it is - Laplaza23 is a peach of a place in a beautiful quiet secluded square - and once inside the interior is just fabulous! Beautifully and sympathetically renovated to a very high standard, spacious and cool, so so nice.
The room itself was simple but had everything you would expect, crisp sheets, spotlessly clean, well appointed bathroom etc - and the cherry on the cake was the breakfast room accessed via small courtyard at the back - what must have been a store of some kind in the past with a vaulted brick ceiling renovated to a similar standard to the remainder of the establishment - and the breakfast itself was great - varied and generous, cold, or eggs cooked to your choice on request- lovely! As was the lady who looked after us during our stay!
The N502 passing thro’ Herrera is a fabulous motorcycling road and there’s much more to this town than you would expect - definitely worth a stopover and the surroundings are worthy of an explore tied in to a longer stay.

Very well appointed apartment. gorgeous bathroom. the whole apartment was very clean and the location was quiet and peaceful. the owner was very helpful and friendly indeed (we even had home made cakes which were delicious). the town of Herrera del Duque is lovely and we ate in Antonio Calle in the town square which is beautiful. if you go dont miss the churros just off the town square in the morning. First class and highly recommended.

A very cozy and new hotel. Friendly staff. It smells delicious everywhere, everything is clean and tasteful. We enjoyed our stay incredibly.

Wonderful renovated guest house in the main square of the Herrera del Duque. Everything is decorated with a exquisite taste. Breakfast is served in a domed dining room or in a typical courtyard. It really worths the value for money. It is run by a lovely couple that are available for anything you may need.
Very nice hotel, the staff was very helpful in assisting with all my needs. The room was very quite and clean. The pub at the hotel makes you experience a bit of the local lifestile
The hotel and staff are great, but because of the heatwave we were not able to do a walk about so all we can say is what we saw of the village was very pretty, we will RETURN.
