We loved the location, quiet place with splended view. Flowers in the small garden, deckchairs on the roof, lovely cats. Small kitchen very efectively organised with salt, sugar and coffee.

Nothing except the view
the accommodation was very disappointing and we had to leave as soon as possible
Gáldar is a more traditional town to stay in. The streets are tight like an old Spanish town should be. The center square is busiest in late morning and early evening. The square has many restaurants to try for Spanish/Canarian traditional fare. The location is easy access to the main road to other locations on the island. The best part is not being a tourist location where there are too many people. One suggestion is to touch up on your Spanish before going because there are fewer multi-lingual speakers in this town.
We would go again to this town.

A very nice little town at the north-western part of the island, close to the sea and quite far form the touristic crowds. Very beautiful nature, close to astonishing nature park. Perfect place for people who prefer nature and culture.

Galdar is the old capital of Gran Canaria.
Galdar is the old capital of Gran Canaria. It has beautiful historic buildings and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere away from the main tourist sights. The main reason we wanted to stay in this part of the island was the see the archeological excavations revealing the original dwellings and the famous cave painting. The museum/site is modern and the guided tour is well worth booking.

Worth visiting. The former capital of the island.
Worth visiting. The former capital of the island. Santiago Apóstol Church, market square, town hall with a charming theater hall (!). Archaeological Museum, which is basically the archaeological site of Cueva Pintada. Ha, ha... and the cherry on the cake. Those traveling by car will find the parking lot by entering "Aparcamiento La Quinta" in the navigation system.

Galdar is a pleasant little town, with a nice historic center. About 2.5 km from El Agujero, which is quite a tolerable walk among banana plantations in good weather, but it is better to go there by car.

40 minutes drive from Airport and 25 mins from Las Canteras and 10 minutes from Agaete with all its restaurants and supermarket facilities.
Beautiful coastal road with stunning sunsets and dramatic sea views from the apartment. Views of Santa Cruz and Mount Teide from the balcony are wonderful.

The place is just amazing. House, terrace ,garden and pool area were comfortable, private and for us it was luxurious! You can find everything you need in the house. Nicolas the landlord was so helpful and attentive, he will make sure your stay is enjoyable and give plenty of advice on where to visit. Galdar town is just 5 mins away from the house. This is definitely the place to stay if visiting with children and want to feel safe on your holiday. We will love to come back and could not recommend this villa highly enough!
The breakfast was fabulous , a board of mixed cheese and meats and fruit etc, as well as cooked eggs if you wanted , freshly squeezed juice and lovely coffee and breads, The location of the hotel is perfect to explore the town. Worth just sitting in the square outside the hotel and listening to the locals and watching the kids play, away from the commercial side of the island. They is a playground nearby and some lovely restaurants , many don’t open until 8pm
I liked the authenticity and history of the house. The room is small, but comfortable and clean. There is a kitchen in the courtyard where water, fruit and snacks are offered - thank you! A kettle and a microwave, no other cooking options. Perfect location, you can park in the street or in a cheap carpark up the street. Walking distance to Galdar or even natural pools - 30 min.
The appartment is located in a small suburb of Galdar. In between beach and hills, with 6 restaurants and 2 supermarket on walking distance.
Kitchen has everything you need for cooking and bathroom is fine as well.
Wonderful to have a pool next to the appartment
We had everything we needed. Beautiful property, close to shops, restaurants and public transport. Short walk easy access to local beaches , as well as other beauty spots like Sardina de Norde and Galdar via local buses.
