This is a traditional old property with the feel of staying in a friend’s comfy cosy bedroom. We were there in January!
A small room with lovely cosy bed linen & tv.
Likewise a small but pristine en-suite with a hot powerful shower soap & shampoo.
In the room there is filtered drinking water.
Downstairs in the bijou reception are comfy chairs, tv & coffee machine, some cakes & a small communal fridge.
Breakfast not included so bring your own.

Cozy place in the center of a very cute small town. The owner Alex organized for us a dinner in the nearest winery which was very good

We walked into Elciego looking to find some local shops and a few bars/ restaurants, but like many other similar villages there weren't many of either! Nice to walk around but very sleepy.
The village really seems to exist for the Marques de Riscal building/hotel/winery and other similar bodegas in the local surroundings.

The Marquis de Riscal winery tour was very good and the wines were all good to excellent. La Florida cafe was quite affordable with the daily special consisting of an appetizer, a main, dessert, water, wine (a whole bottle for two) and bread costing 12.50 €.

This was our first stop whilst touring on motorcycle to see the real Spain, couldn't have had a better introduction to the country and its friendly helpful people. Any bikers using the bilbao or santander ferries should include this hotel, the roads off the main highway are excellent and the locals so helpful.
Wonderfully welcoming hostess (who spoke very little English) & a very comfortable room. The air con didn’t work (too early in the year) but everything else was lovely! Fabulous bed linen! Excellent breakfast (with delicious homemade cake). Such a beautiful area & a wonderfully situated hotel to explore it from. Will definitely stay here again if we get the opportunity.
The hotel is wonderful to look at. The design of it is breathtaking. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The free wine tour was excellent. The local town is close by and nice to walk to. We had breakfast in our room each morning which was very good.
