The hotel is located within 5min drive from the nearby town. We had a rental car so it was very easy to get in and out and the public parking right outside hotel is free so that's a big plus. City bus was passing by as well so I guess there is an easy route to town this way too. There are a few small shops and petrol station nearby if you need some basics.
There is an artificial "beach" near by and outdoor swimming pool is quite large. Overall nice and quiet area for stay.

For the moment Hacienda el Santiscal is peaceful and an oasis away from the creeping holiday development along the edge of the lake.
The views from our room were lovely.
