This is our second stay at El Convento, our favourite hotel in Arcos. We love the friendly personnel, the airy rooms and the views across the vega. The place is spotlessly clean and centrally located for excellent restaurants such as La Carcel (we have been visiting Arcos for over 20 years and this is the best!)

The hotel was in a good location with the old town a few minutes walk up the hill and the bus stop also nearby in the other direction. My room had its own spacious balcony looking out over Arcos de La Frontera. The room and bathroom were both clean and well maintained.

The accomodation is very beutiful like MAROCAN style. Room size was fine as well as the bathroom. We also book one room for 3 and taht was also very nice and big enough with regular third bed.

The hotel is located within 5min drive from the nearby town. We had a rental car so it was very easy to get in and out and the public parking right outside hotel is free so that's a big plus. City bus was passing by as well so I guess there is an easy route to town this way too. There are a few small shops and petrol station nearby if you need some basics.
There is an artificial "beach" near by and outdoor swimming pool is quite large. Overall nice and quiet area for stay.

For the moment Hacienda el Santiscal is peaceful and an oasis away from the creeping holiday development along the edge of the lake.
The views from our room were lovely.
It's a beautiful courtyard Hacienda retaining a personal family feel.

We stayed immediately after the DANA so the weather was not brilliant. Pool too chilly for us but it looks lovely when warmer.
