The hotel allowed us to take our bags to the room, which kept them safe and secure. The front desk staff was warm and welcoming. The weight staff in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The food was quite good.

We had our car towed and then couldn’t convince the local police that USA travelers can drive pn their US license without an international license for 90 days.
It was a real hassle … small town police don’t know International law.
They refused to return our rental car until we found a local with a Spanish license to “accept” our car for us. Total BS.

It's close to Almeria city but it's not a place worth visiting unless you need to go there for work or something. Almeria City is a much better choice. The town hall square is modern and el Ejido has some nice areas with palm trees etc but it's not worth going out of the way to visit.
Stayed here many times for business purposes and would recommend it if you need a hotel in this area. The hotel is fairly simple but clean, comfortable, spacious, and the staff are always efficient and friendly. The breakfast is good and the attached restaurant is also good. The relationship of price vs quality is very good. It's a shame that this hotel is not closer to where I normally stay for work - I would definitely stay more.
I didn't know what to expect from El Ejido as it is the main town for the fruit industry in the south of Spain. We were passing through on a cycling trip. However it had plenty of life, nice bars and restaurants. Our host guided us to a lovely local tapas bar and it was excellent. The hotel itself was exceptional value for money. The cheapest of our whole cycling trip
