Housed in an old convent, dating from the 17th century, this Parador hotel has kept its original character and architecture, including a magnificent cloister and gardens.

Spotless, gorgeous and beautiful.

Hotel Rural Plaza Mayor Chinchon, hotel in Chinchón

The location of the hotel was superb! It was located within Plaza Mayor and our room had a balcony overlooking the plaza. Fantastic view! Although the hotel was in a historic structure, our room was clean and comfortable. The owner of the hotel was very nice, kind, and helpful.

Condesa de Chinchón, hotel in Chinchón

Visit Chinchón and explore this beautiful area’s fascinating history with this delightful hotel as your base.

It was authentically Spanish and very characterful, completely in keeping with the surroundings. The jacuzzi bath was an added bonus. The location was central and our room had the best view out of a bathroom ever! Absolutely loved it.

The town is small and one day is enough to explore, but has a charm and nice to wander around on foot. Feels like time tripped to the past. It was a bit pity that its castle is closed and fenced with ugly wire net.

Chinchon is a wonderful city just south west of Madrid, there is a bus link to the city or you can drive in which takes approx 30 mins, the bull ring with bars and restaurants is a must see, sit outside with a beer and tapa and people watch to your hearts content, the buildings are so nice dating back to the 15th century, take a walk around this wonderful place, you won't be disappointed

The Parador was a converted convent with lovely gardens and pool. Our room was spacious and comfortable - great beds and shower. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We were staying one night only as we were travelling from Bilbao to the south of Spain.

Chinchón is a little and rather relaxed town - at least during the week. On weekends, many people from Madrid come here to enjoy some days out of the city. However, you'll find an authentic Spanish medieval city center and plaza here. Moreover, Chinchón was a great starting point for our day trips with our rental car (Toledo, Alcalá de Henares, El Escorial, Aranjuez) before we went to the city center of Madrid.

We used this as a stopover on our way south from Santander.

We used this as a stopover on our way south from Santander. A lovely village that was full of character and at night the Plaza Mayor looks wonderful, all lit up and busy. We wanted to see the Goya painting in the church but was told it wasn't open until 19:00 and as we left mid morning it wasn't a big deal. I'd find it difficult to find things to do for a couple of days there but for a 1 day stopover it was just what we wanted - quiet, full of character and with history.

This has to be one of the most beautiful Casa's we've ever stayed in. Our room was a good size, spotlessly clean with a lovely ensuite. Parking is easy with a free car park directly opposite the front door. Its a short walk down to the Chinchon Plaza where everything happens so location is spot on too. Our only issue is that we only stayed for one night (as we had to move on to get the ferry)..so we will be back next year and will stay more nights to enjoy this Hotel and Chinchon

Beautiful apartment right near the Plaza Mayor, very cosy and clean, with a wonderful bed and a huuuge jacuzzi! The key was right there, we used the code. There is a small kitchen with everything one needs, we also had coffee pods and tea ready for us, and a small bottle of Cava. The heating was perfect. In the summer, there is also AC. Would recommend this property anytime. Un grande gracias!

Mariluz was a life saver. I got injured and she went above and beyond what I could have expected. The hotel is very lucky to have her. I totally recommend this hotel.
