The hotel is more like a boutique hotel. All details are well taken care of. We were given an ample attic room, that was very comfortable, with all amenities well working. The room was crystal clear, breakfast is served in the bar nearby, and is quite good and fulfilling (with excellent home made bica). Easy parking around. There's a wonderful common area with sofa and armchairs at first floor, and paintings hanging from the walls are so artistic, we loved every moment of our stay.
The staff is extremely welcoming, little English spoken though.
Would recommend this hotel hands down.

Very nice property, amazingly decorated, all stone, beautiful rooms. Comfortable beds and everything you need in the bathroom and kitchen. Towels, soap, shampoo, everything provided in 4 star hotel fashion. Nice little balcony where you can have breakfast. Lovely typical cake included by the hosts. Perfect, we will go back for sure.

Friendly and accommodating owners. Although there wasn't much of a view owing to narrow streets the hostal is charmingly situated in the old town with the castle rearing above it. At the price, with breakfast included, I cannot fault the value in staying here. If I were in area again I would certainly stay here again.

This is the perfect hotel. A beautiful building in a beautiful village setting, overlooked by a fairy-tale castle. The owner Iago (Hope I spelt his name correctly) was the perfect host. The rooms were gorgeous and full of character, yet super-clean and modern. I highly recommend this hotel, it's perfect, and such good value. Thank-you Iago.
Nice small quiet hotel used as a convenient stop-over after a day exploring the Sil Canyons as part of a longer tour before heading down to Salamanca. Not much to see in Caldelas and very limited eating options, especially on a Sunday. However it served its purpose admirably.
