Calpe is a real resort, a good quiet place to relax far from the maddish crowd. Very nice people walking along the promenade, no rush at all. We live close to the excellent La Fossa beach. Water was still warm, ca. 20-21 degrees even in November. There are many restaurans along the promenade but we eat usually at home because we had well-equipped kitchen and the Mercadona food store nearby provided us with delicious products. We have been in the center of the Calpe city only once, bus connection is ok.

Calpe is a small and relatively quiet resort.
Calpe is a small and relatively quiet resort. Lovely beaches, good restaurants. During our stay we hired e bikes, swam in the sea, hired a paddle board, walked up the Ifach rock. Good to stroll along the two promenades and eat and drink in the fish restaurants. It is an active fishing port too.
Dracula's restaurant and bar is a friendly place.

It's easy to walk around Calpe, plenty of great bars and restaurants to choose from. The beaches and sea are clean and safe. The walk up to the tunnel on Penyal d'Ifach has some amazing views. The old town is lovely and worth a visit. The salt lake has numerous Flamingos and Herons on it but beware of the mosquitos if you walk around it!

Calpe (Calp) itself is quieter than Benidorm.
Calpe (Calp) itself is quieter than Benidorm. There’s a great food market that is open daily. The town itself has numerous supermarkets and shops which are not just tourist focussed (which is a good thing). The main beaches have the usual touristy shops and bars/restaurants. If you stay outside Calp itself you can have a quiet neighbourhood feel (and still be 10 mins drive to Calp itself).

The location was perfect—just a 5-minute stroll to supermarkets, bars, restaurants, and best of all, the beach. The house was immaculate, spacious, quiet, and comfortable.
The house is perfect for a couple, but also a family of 4 or 5.
We stayed there for a little more than 3 weeks and it was great.
Our host, Xiomara, was always ready to assist if we needed anything.
We enjoyed BBQs and paellas on the patio.
We love Calpe and we will go back to Xiomara's place next summer.
