Set in a landscape of great natural beauty, surrounded by the river Umia, this traditional rural hotel features lots of charm. Relax in the spacious, light and tastefully decorated rooms.

This small hotel is on some of the most gorgeous landscape, both natural and designed, that I’ve ever seen anywhere! The buildings and ruins and pool and rooms are all beautiful. If you ever have the opportunity, stay here. Preferably for 2 nights!

Villa Galicia, hotel in Caldas de Reis

Villa Galicia in Caldas de Reis provides accommodations with a garden and a terrace.

The best hotel on the Camino so far. Relatively new so larger room, nicer showers, huge backyard, quiet, even a nice cat! It might be a small detail, but it was smelling so good in the room that it was relaxing.

Casal dos Celenis, hotel in Caldas de Reis

Set in 22966 ft² of gardens, Casal dos Celenis is a charming property located in A Revolta, outside Caldas de Reis and 5 minutes’ drive from Vilagarcía de Arousa.

I felt like I was at a 5 star hotel! Beautiful gardens, public areas and bedrooms. If you order in advance Chus will make an amazing dinner and breakfast. If you are a peregrino call and she will pick you up in town and drop you back on Camino where you were. It is about a 12 minute drive. Take a thermal bath in town first, then treat yourself to a night here. Truly the best overnight experience on the Camino.

It's a nice small town, very charming and picturesque. Nice parks to walk around, plenty of restaurants and cafes. It's small so easy to get around by walking. Did not partake of the hot springs but this town definitely famous for them.

Caldas de Reis is a beautiful, walkable village.

Caldas de Reis is a beautiful, walkable village. There is a 30-minute walk to a waterfall that I wanted to take but it was too hot that afternoon. It was too hot to take advantage of the hot pools as well. It would have been nice to stay another day here, take a rest day. The restaurants looked really nice as well.

Caldas de Reis is a regular stop-over on the Camino Portuguese. The main square with palm trees is lovely. There are cafes and you can sit there have coffee and enjoy, I only made a one night stop so can't really say much more.

We only stayed in Caldas de Reis as we were walking the Camino Portugese. We saw lots of things that'd been nice to further explore if we'd had a couple of days there....river, historic buildings etc.

Beautiful cosy apartment with great views over the rooftops of Caldas de Reis and very helpful host. We were only passing through along the Camino but definitely could have stayed longer! One of our favourite stops on the trip.
