BADAROSA House10min to BARCELONA City&NearTo BEACH, hotel in Badalona

Featuring city views, BADAROSA House10min to BARCELONA City&NearTo BEACH features accommodation with a terrace and a patio, around 1.9 km from Playa de l’Estació.

The host was exceptional and very accommodating. He helped with every need we might have had and was super nice as well. Even had suggestions about places to visit and where to eat. Also gave us a water and a little present at the end of the trip!!! You could tell he was happy to host. The house is beautiful and very cleaned. Has a nice terrace for a chill night outside and 10 minutes by walk away from the beach. The location is really good for a chill holiday at the beach, with lots of restaurants and shops, but also 3 minutes away from the subway station. That makes it easy to reach places like the Sagrada Familia, Casa Battlò, Park Guàll. We are a group of young girls and we were able to easily reach the Barceloneta (main discos and bar street) and get back safely with taxis and subways. All around best host experience we’ve ever had.

Badalona is a great town/city near to Barcelona, which is easily accessible by train and metro. Plenty of great bars and restaurants both on the beach and in the centre. Highly recommend Badalona if you want to be close to the centre of Barcelona, but do not want the mad rush and crowds of the city every day of your stay.

Our review of our Hotel Mirimar:

Our review of our Hotel Mirimar: We have had the most excellent short holiday here. (A surprise trip for my 21yr old). Our room is one of the last to be restored. (The new ones look great). We just did not mind this situation as we have got the best view going. (Overlooking the sea). And the service & atmosphere here is just super. Always a smile and a chat in reception. Happy to assist & advise. Quick to sort any problem. Coffee & water to buy at reception. Safe in room. Kettle if you ask. Parasol if you ask. Beach towels if you ask. Airconditionned room. Really a home-to-home hotel. Just 83 steps to the sand. Crystal clear (though deep) water. Road nextto beach just for joggers and cyclists and dogwalkers. Council thoroughly washed walkways & roads twice in 3 days Many places to eat. Area wheelchair & rolator friendly, (not sure if one can get to water's edge somewhere) Showers on beach, volleyball nets, local outdoor pool, local paddleboard hire. Local train and metro, (quick to Barcelona) I recommend this place I hope to return...VERY soon.

This my second stay at this hotel and I recommended to my friend who happened to get the room next door! The hotel is very near to the beach (we could see it from the window) near to the train station and a short walk from then nearest metro. The street it is on is well placed for places to eat (the vegan cafe Ingrediente Secreto is literally across the street and is the BEST) - plenty of cafes/ bakeries/ fruit shops. It’s a great location if you love to watch the sunrise from the beach or have an early swim. There are lots of opticians and shoe shops and a choice of clothes shops like H&M and useful home wares shop- they sell everything from cushions to insoles for shoes to umbrellas and face jewels; Great on a rainy day!

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was excellent. The rooftop bar with pool was gorgeous. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance and the grocery store was next door. Coffee in the room would have been nice, but once the breakfast was served there were plenty of options. Rooms were very comfortable and clean.

Just outside barcelona it had good links to get into the city. If you want to see sights then best way is travel on Metro and buses but be prepared for a lot of walking. The travel cards are really good value for money we stayed 6days but bought the ones for a month they were about $20 each and allowed access to metro bus and tram. We were excited about the beach but they were really busy on the weekend Also its the norm for women to be topless we didn't appreciate this especially as we were travelling with children. Did find a quieter area away from the main beaches platja de litoral. Food we needed Halal options - a lot of options were fast food like doners and pizza. They weren't really nice settings more like local native settings but food was good quality. Generally people were friendly and just going about there day. It wasn't chilled relaxing holiday you are in full tourist mode and on the move. We stayed in a apartment which was good with all the facilities to was and dry clothes etc with kids. However next time I will book something which includes breakfast and housekeeping. In summer you definitely want accommodation with Air Con. If you want to book excursions or activities they all add up. We visited Tibidabo a theme park it was €35 each. Most other parks like Guell were about the same. It can get expensive. With that in mind maybe next time i would book something all exclusive.

I was able to get a very good night's sleep at this hostel. It's a quiet and secure place with a very comfortable bed. The room is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean with daily towel changes, well equipped with shower gel, shampoo, hairdryer, etc. Great located on a commercial avenue, close to supermarkets, fruit shops, bars and restaurants, and easy access to tourist sites (bus or metro), and there is a night bus to return to the hostel after midnight. Without a doubt, it is my first choice if I return to Barcelona.

I was in Badalona for a month, and called this lovely little BnB home. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. As I was here for work I cannot attest to the accessibility of tourist attractions. There is secure and free private parking, which is a real rarity in Barcelona. The real star though is your hostess, Fujuan. She goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need, from tasty breakfasts to any extra amenities. If you want a BnB with a family atmosphere at an affordable price, this is a great pick.

More modern then the pictures, clean and a 24/7 reception, which was nice. The staff was very polite and helpful. I will recomend this from my experience, and I stayed in a singel room. Close to everything, because it's easy to go with puplic transportation - if needed. But you can find everything you need in Badalona without going in to Barcelona City.
