Location was excellent. Food on buffet was excellent 3/4 nights. One night didn’t have as much variety. Breakfast was very good.
This charming, traditional-style hotel is located in the heart of the old town of Bellaguarda-Altea, just a 5-minute walk from the Costa Blanca seafront.

Altea has a busy but happy vibe.
Altea has a busy but happy vibe. Beautiful squares to sit and have a drink and enjoy the world going by.
The shops are mixed and many with some very good quality items on offer not just the usual holiday shops!
We found the people very friendly and helpful and although a lot of people with dogs the streets were clean.
Promenade is a lovely flat walk with beautiful views.
The old town is stunning and we spent new year eve there at ate a the Crown of India which was exceptional.
The bars everywhere are reasonably priced. El Rey on beach front is very good, to be honest we never had a bad meal and that is unusual!
Good place to tour other areas from as well.
Highly recommend Altea.

Altea is split into three main areas.
Altea is split into three main areas.
The Old town accessed by steep stone steps or narrow winding paths or roads with limited vehicle access.
The main town, set just back from the seafront, with its many shops, cafes and restaurants.
The seafront promenade with its vast number of food establishments to choose from. International cuisine, coffee shops, bars and ice-cream parlors. Opening times vary but there is always a choice from morning until late.
The rail link also gives you access to other places up and down the coast should you feel you need a change of scenery.
Not a party town but a welcoming, friendly town with lots of options to explore and enjoy.

Altea is worth visiting it is the prettiest of the region. It is build on a mountain like Santorini and has a lot of stairs to climb! If you do not want that it also has a huge promenade with lot's of restaurants. Great for walking/cycling. Walking from one side of the bay to the other (Altea-Albir) takes 1,5 hours.

The blue dome church on top of the hill is Altea is worth a visit and there is a lovely quaint street leading up to it. You have to park somewhere at the bottom of the hill and walk up and best visited in the evening when sunlight lights up the dome.
We ate at Rosa's Cafe by the seafront, which serves great salad and a generous G&T.

The old town is lovely with plenty of shops and restaurants, and a great view over Altea. There is a super ice cream place in the middle square, and the area does get busy at night. It is hilly and accessible by steps so people with mobility issues may struggle. The beach area and promenade is good with plenty of restaurants next to the beach. The beach is pebble so a chair or hire of a sun lounger is needed, and the gradient into the water is quite steep. We stayed for 3 days which we found enough to see and do everything.

Everything was just perfect! We LOVED the apartment, the decor and the comfort, the location was THE BEST we could ask for, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful whenever we had any questions. I can say for sure that our stay in Altea wouldn't have been what it was if we booked any other hotel/apartment. Thank you, Blue Sardine. We'll most definitely be back! 😍
The property is in the middle of Altea old town- which is beautiful. Plenty of lovely restaurants open and in walking distance. The Deluxe suite with sea view was clean and functional. The view is beautiful and the staff were superb. Also the European style breakfast was delivered each morning at a time of your choice. Nice touch.
Lovely boutique hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and comfortable and a good location with easy access to both the old town and the beachfront.
