The whole place was amazing. Great staff going above and beyond to help us with a problem. The hotel is very clean and situated perfect for the beach and bars. Our room was a great size and modern. Bathroom great with a good shower. All in all a great long weekends stay. 😁

The Room was spacious. The rooftop pool, lounge is beautiful. We had an amazing dinner at the hotel restaurant. Our visit was at the beginning of October and the area was definitely not as busy as usual, which actually made for a very nice relaxing day and evening.

Lovely seafront which has plenty of eating places.
Lovely seafront which has plenty of eating places. But the town is difficult to find your way round, very few shops. Interesting roman villa site. Plus a beautiful old fort Casteil de Tamarit perfect for weddings

There was an adults -only area with dipping pool and sun loungers on the 4th floor of the hotel ALTAFULLA MAR with smashing views of the surrounding countryside. Nice touch.!
The hotel is obviously a big draw for business conferences and seemed ideally suited for this TOO ; the conferences were held outside which meant if you'd wanted to use the outdoor pool you couldn't ? In high season they'd go indoors?
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AND CHARMING VILLAGE FOR A SHORT STOP OFF IF YOU VISIT THE COSTA DAURADA - learn some Catalan and eat local special dishes to embrace the experience.

Lovely town with some historical places to see.
Lovely town with some historical places to see. Great to just wander around and discover it for yourself. The main areas to eat and drink are within the old town and they are all very individual, with their own character. Friendly staff. There are also a few on the beach. The surrounding area is definitely worth exploring, particularly for the coastal walking routes.

It has a really beautiful but fairly small old town with a castle and great restaurants and bars. The beach is a short distance away and is long and sandy with nice bars and restaurants close by. Although there are 2 very modern hotels just set back from the beach, the village doesn't feel overdeveloped. You can take the train to Tarragona, Sitges or even Barcelona to vary your trip.

I had thought, from looking at photos, that the old town of Altafulla was directly above the beach. This isn't the case; it's about a fifteen-minute walk. Which is absolutely fine, but it's a different esthetic than I expected. I liked the easy access by train from Barcelona, and the fact that it's a small, walkable town that, while seemingly mostly about tourism, doesn't feel overdeveloped. It's a bit dead in the off-season, when we visited; but 'nice and quiet' is another way to frame it. The local people were extremely friendly and welcoming. We hope to visit again when the weather is warmer.

Altafulla is the perfect getaway for anyone who doesn't what the typical tourist buzz. The old town is charming with great eateries. The more modern side of the town has great places too and the beach is lovely. The locals are very friendly and it's very relaxing. The train means you can easily go exploring if you don't have a car and you can get to Barcelona in an hour or Seville in 2. Having been four times now, it's definitely one of our favourites for a relaxing getaway.

It was right at the beach. Nice bright room with free water chocolate and snacks. There were flip-flops and nice towels for the pool.
The rooms towards the entrance were great as I had sea view from my room!
The breakfast was plenty and the room is nice. The quality was medium and for that kind of a hotel could be better but well I think Spain is not known for it‘s breakfast. So it was fine!
Staff was positive and nice.
Take a walk along the beach or to the small center like 5 minutes away.
Nice modern hotel well located in a small beach side part of town. There is no such thing as a hidden gem anymore (thanks Google) but this town might have been one at one time. Best for a day trip I think.
Very nice small hotel in the quiet neighbourhood. Host was very helpful and everything was perfect on our stay.
Also enough parking spaces just next to the hotel on the street.
