The pool and the sides were great for the kids. Keep in mind at 5pm the Sun is on the other side of the building and it gets cool in the pool cause of the shade.

We were upgraded to a room with a balcony and a full sea view. There was also a bottle of Cava waiting for us. The staff were very professional and the food in the evening was excellent.

This hotel is on the beach, less than half a mile from Almuñecar’s Old Town. It features a spa and a pool with water slides. All rooms have a private balcony with views.

This town by the sea is pleasant enough. The beaches are fine shingle but that's okay. There is a long sea promenade that has plenty of bars cafes restaurants and shops along its length. It has historical remnants, street cats that are friendly. This place is a little more chilled out. Go to Nerja if you want a little more commercial. Almunecar has a little more taste. Parking is easy outside of July and August.
Check out the pizzas at Otro Farinel. A take away is perfect as the beach is across the road or the raised promenade that looks out to the sea with plenty of benches is very nearby. Sit down and munch away. Their trade is constant and many locals can't be wrong..

Almunecar is a lovely little town with something for everyone. There are lots of places to visit, to eat, to explore, to wander. The town and the beach are equally attractive. It feels like a real town, for locals and not just for tourists. It's a good base from which to explore the area.

I loved this town - it has a compact centre, with lots of interesting shops and bars, and some lovely houses with balconies covered in plants, particularly up by the stunning castle, which has a great display and stunning views. Everything is easy to reach on foot and the two main beaches - Playa San Cristobal and Playa La Caletilla - are very wide, and -because they are mostly pebbles rather than sand - lead to water which is beautifully clear and warm - and full of pretty little fish to watch!

We loved Almuñecar and we would definitely return. The little streets, the food, the history, the sunset at the beach, it really has it all. If you are looking for authentic spanish experience we recommend a visit.

Although the Bahia Tropical Hotel is some 3 Km from Almunecar town centre. there is a good local bus service and adequate parking in Almunecar where there is a full range of shops and facilities as well as a number of tourist attractions.

Excellent location for a weekend or a holiday in Almuñécar. The room was fine with all you need but the linen and the towels were all a bit tired and frayed. It is clean enough but there is not an overwhelming feeling that it is really clean. The breakfast is good and offers everything you need - cold and hot food. There is a lovely seating area outside. The hotel decor is really good.
The location is wonderful, 20 yards from the beach and the view is perfect. The size of the room was good. The nearest town Almunecar is lovely with a great promenade and all the shops you need. The car park and our dog didn’t cost us anything extra.
Great apartments. Just a few steps away from the sea. In a few minutes we reached groceries and cafes. Probably first stay in Spain where was no problems with parking a car.
