The hotel staff were extremely friendly and the hotel was very chic looking, even the hallways were nice and wide. The room was very nice and clean and the beds were pretty comfortable. The breakfast was efficient, very European with meat, cheese, and bread.

Surrounded by the sandy Costa Blanca beaches and the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean Sea, Alicante has a rich heritage built over thousands of years. Alacant (as it's known in Valencian) has a deep history ranging from the first tribes that arrived at the slopes of Mount Benacantil to Greeks, Romans and Moors. Nowadays, this modern city features a bustling harbor, great Spanish nightlife, charming old streets and modern beach resorts.
Overlooking the city from the top of Mount Benacantil, the Castle of Santa Barbara was built during Islamic rule in the 9th century. Cascading down the slopes towards the center of the city, L'Ereta Park has terraced levels that offer stunning panoramic views of the city. The remains of the ancient Roman town of Lucentum are also just a few miles away.
Barrio de la Santa Cruz is the historic quarter, featuring narrow streets, old houses and cobbled steps. Framed by palm trees and covered with a snaking pattern of white, red and blue tiles, the Explanada de Espana is considered one of Spain’s most beautiful promenades.
After arriving at Alicante Airport, indulge yourself in a resort near San Juan beach, or enjoy the view of luxurious yachts moored at the marina from a cozy B&B: Booking.com has the perfect spot for you to discover the magic of Alicante!

It was easy to walk around, the airport shuttle is really easy and buying a 10 ticket pass for under 7€ made a transfer into the city very cheap. You can use it for the number of you travelling so we used five tickets for the five of us. We would have used the other five back but we left to go to Torrevieja. The castle provides a great view and there is an elevator for just a couple of euros that takes you up.

Alicante was a very pleasant city with cute shops and restaurants galore. Quite touristy as many coastal towns in Spain are to be. Despite that we found a few local owned shops with very kind locals. I think with a family it would be a nice placw to return, but for a child-free couple once was perfect to just relax, walk around, beach, eat and see somewhere new.

Really enjoyed visiting out of season.
Really enjoyed visiting out of season. We were worried we’d find too many party goers but we were really happy to find a quaint town with a beautiful promenade, nice friendly restaurants and some amazing views. We found authentic Spanish cuisine but a wealth of different options for lunch and dinner. The trip up to the castle and day out at San Juan beach were highlights but in general we just enjoyed wandering around the barrio. I’d definitely go back but would be a bit nervous to see if it retained its charm in the summer months once the crowds descend.

A city that you can see for less than a day unless you're a beach person. A walk near the port, La rambla and the castle on top, these are three things you pretty much got in this city. The beach that I would recommend is playa de los arenales, instead of San Juan. Also faro del cabo de Santa Pola.

Go to the market; great experience. Love mushroom road.
Go to the market; great experience. Love mushroom road. The police are very helpful as well. We got lost and the police man walked us to the restaurant. So kind. Night life is great. Pity the trams don’t run later had to catch a taxi. Nevertheless, thoroughly enjoyed our mini trip.

The city is very busy day and night, with traffic and noise.
The city is very busy day and night, with traffic and noise. It was sometimes hard to get a table at some restaurants, however there is a good choice of places to eat. Many restaurants only had traditional food EG Tapas, Paella, fish etc. and did not cater for vegetarians so well. The city feels safe, even at night. Its easy to walk around. The beach (Postiguet) was very busy but still managed to get sunbeds and find space there. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around the beach area and also toilets at the beach. The bus network is really good if you want to travel around the area and the airport buses are every 20 minutes, which is very convenient. The castle Santa Barbara is worth a visit for a couple of hours - used the lift to get up as its quite steep and easy to walk back down.

We spend this summer roadtripping through Spain and this was the best accomodation we stayed during our trip!
It is a beautifully renovated old house with patio just oustide the city center of Alicante. We stayed in a studio and it had everything we needed for a short stay. The studio we stayed looked also just renovated and was very modern, clean and crisp! The owner also called when we arrived and was very helpfull with guiding us into the house. We definitely recommend this place!
The hotel has a great location with only a few minutes walk to the beach, while still being located in the gorgeous old town of Alicante. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the wonderful church as well. The area is super calm and there are lots of really nice restaurants within a few minutes of walking. The room was really nice and clean, the bed was wonderful and the staff was super nice and helpful. Definitely the best hotel I have ever stayed at!
The property was conveniently positioned for the tram into the city and the beach was aprx 500m away. The local restaurants are great, try Bruto for Italian, Lorea restaurant on the beach front was great. Please Rembrr this area is real Spain so be patient if the don’t understand you at first, use translate or learn a little Spanish before hand. Enjoy !
We needed somewhere to stay near the airport for our last night as an emergency so we chose this hotel. it is 15 mins from the Airport which is €28 roughly.
it is closer to the Alicante city centre - 10 mins in the taxi or 45 by foot (which is a nice walk).
Pillows were nice .
