For what I wanted being away from some.of the full on resort towns was nice to get away and chill. And everyone going there were for similar experiences.
Food was good, could have done with some variation on breakfast but all fresh and dinners I had were good.

The apartment is directly above the Hiperdino Supermarket which for us was really good as at home we have to drive to buy anything but everything we needed was minutes away so to us it is an advantage.
The apartment is ideally located for the harbour and market square.
The apartment has everything needed to facilitate self catering including a washing machine
We would book this apartment again.

Very lovely , clean and tastefully decorated. Simple , chic , modern with a local twist . Quiet, peaceful. Close to the beach. All facilities are available (unfortunately I don't have a chance to use them this time as I'm busy with work and out most of the time ). I can see this place being lovely for family , friends, couples and solo travellers. But there's only one bathroom, not a huge problem for me but people with extra needs may have to be mindful.
The host / landlord is responsive, which i love.
If you are looking for a beautiful, clean , affordable, peaceful place to stay, this is PERFECT for you.

It's a very small town, but there are plenty of accommodation options and there is a choice of restaurants, which tend to serve good meals for decent money. A good place to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. I personally appreciate being among the local population and really getting a feel of the place.
There is also the luxurious all-inclusive hotel, which offers a stay full of all the pleasures you could ask for. Very different from staying in the village.

Alcala is a lovely friendly working Canarian town.
Alcala is a lovely friendly working Canarian town. Thankfully it has no noisy bars or discos. Restaurants seem to take turns when to open but that just adds to the authenticity. Great place for families with young children and for the older generation. Where else can you enjoy an elderly gentleman playing a piano on the beach accompanied by the waves! Please don’t change Alcala !
If you want seafood go to Casa Mon ,you pick your own from that days catch no fancy accompaniments just canarian potatoes or that days vegetables or salad . Had to stop ourselves from eating there every night.

If your after isolation from the wildly busy resorts then beautiful Alcala is for you. I had a rented car from the airport as it was cheaper to rent for ten days than return taxi fare.
Plenty of free car parking on public carpark only 1 minutes walk from accommodation. Same distance to the town square with its lovely restaurants and bars. Lovely beach area and easy access to safe swimming snorkelling paddling. Good facilities at accommodation for preparing food and plenty of convenient stores nearby.
The small town felt safe and no beach sellers around. Small cute town I say with lovely small streets and alleys with splendid buildings and views across the bay. Beautiful sunsets to be seen.

A very pleasant village.
A very pleasant village. Quiet and not a resort, but does service tourists who are not looking for extensive entertainment nor wall-to-wall eateries.
Hire a car to explore other areas - beware that some roads are very twisty. Monitor weather forecasts for northern towns before visiting - they can be wet and colder than Alcala.

Alcalá is a cute fishing town that has avoided the development of multiple large resorts. There are several authentic places to eat, but booking is essential. I highly recommend 2 Raices Steakhouse and Muelle Viejo Fish Restaurant. We felt safe in the town day or night. The rock pools were stunning and accessible, so staying in a location with a pool wasn't necessary.

Alcalá is a more a small town located on the coast than a holiday resort although there is a huge expensive hotel on the north side. Having said that there is a good selection of very moderately priced restaurants and bars in the town. Good bus connections up and down the west coast of Tenerife

From the very first minute till the very end the hotel makes you feel special. Everyone is trying to be helpful, so you feel absolutely welcomed here.
What I liked the most: 3 heated pools, although we used only Infinite one, fantastic green territory, kin size bed, lots of tea and coffee in the room, breakfasts.
Very nice complex, with wonderful breakfast, very good service, daily “open bar” between 17:00 and 18:00, all day free water and tea. Plenty of helpful staff around, very comfortable sunbeds, multiple restaurant options inside and outside the hotel.
Located just outside Alcala in a lovely quiet location. Peaceful and relaxing. Good size rooms with lovely balconies overlooking La Gomera and the sea. Dolphin and whale watching trip was fantastic. Good local restaurants.
