We had an incredible stay at Hotel & SPA Peña Montañesa! The room was comfortable, spacious, and the view was breathtaking – it really made our experience special. Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely amazing, with a great variety of delicious options. And the spa was beyond relaxing; it was the perfect way to unwind, and we enjoyed every moment there. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing getaway!
The comfortable and cosy hotel is located in the small medieval town of Ainsa, situated in the Huescan Pyrenees surrounded by natural beauty.

A clean modern hotel near the old town of Ainsa. The accommodation was great, very spacious, modern and comfortable. We ate dinner in the hotel which was a mistake. The service was very slow (only one person serving) and the food was terrible.

The hotel was so amazing we came back for the 3 final nights within the same 2-weeks vacation. Spacious, very comfortable and well maintained, our son loved the games room in the basement.

'Old' Ainsa is a relatively small but beautiful and interesting place. Our stay coincided with the end of their village festival, so there was plenty going on. On two nights we ate at a restaurant a couple doors down from the hotel, which specialised in pizzas but had many other options too - this was good, well-priced food, served very efficiently.
We were based in Ainsa for quick access to the surrounding Pyrenees, and enjoyed two fabulous walks (Portal de la Cunarda and the Valle de Pineta). There's a large and cheap car park just outside the town walls (3 euros for 24hrs). There's also a very interesting bird of prey centre - museum and recovery centre - well worth a visit!

Gorgeous town with many historic buildings and medieval streets to roam in. Staff at the tourism office fabulous as well as information about raptors in the area given by the eco museum. The historical museum was only opened on the weekend with a half day on Sunday so we missed out.

We have seen Ainsa change and grow in size during the 30 or so years we have known it - and judging by our own experiences would say that the growth has been good for both locals and tourists. Once a mere crossroads below a derelict castle, it is now a lively town. The sympathetically achieved cultural development in and around the castle ruins is worth a visit and a great place for a meal. The town has managed to maintain its traditional atmosphere while adapting to tourism and welcoming visitors to this outstanding area of natural beauty.

Ainsa is a small town, but the location is centrally situated for exploring the Ordesa National Park region of the Spanish Pyrenees. As long as you have transport there are many beautiful places to hike and explore.
The old town is very quaint, with lots of restaurants and bars. There are beautiful views of the high mountains, including Mount Perdido, from the castle walls. A lot of tourists, which is why a hotel in the new town is preferable if you like your peace.

Beautiful town with a charming old part with nice little shops and restaurants. It is surrounded by amazing landscapes and beautiful mountains. Whether you enjoy outdoor activities or just relaxing, this is a great place to go. Ainsa is very close to other nice towns that are only a few minutes drive away and the views from the road are really worth seeing.

10/10 isn't enough for this property! Amazing apartment, wonderful views, lovely host. The apartment had everything we needed and is in walking distance to Aínsa for groceries, restaurants etc. There was also a garden (again with lovely views), and really nice touches such as apples and sweets left for guests. The apartment was also so clean and we felt at home straight away. Free, secure parking was also very welcome, as was the video to show how to get to the property. Definitely plan to be back!
Large room with large bed(s) & bathroom.
Very clean & comfortable.
Ideal location with parking reserved but not necessary as I found parking out front. Hotel cancelled reservation with no charge.
Just out of the town and 20 min walk to old taaarn but a superb hotel
Safe bike barking and easy access to lifts.
