Many people will love Sharm but if you're after an authentic Egyptian experience then forget it: fly in and move on up the coast to a smaller less touristy town. Don't book a hotel with less than a 9 rating - it might cost a lot more but it will be worth it. The international restaurants are good and worthwhile but I didn't find anywhere that sold decent Egyptian fare. The alcohol is extortionate - over the sea in Hurghada the beer is 1/4 the price.

Sharm el Sheikh is a great place to visit, great weather, wonderful people everywhere you go. Fantastic customer service even in the little shops and a place to feel comfortable for all age groups. Have been in winter and summer time and both times excellent. An easy trip and worth visiting Naama Bay, Old Town and the highlight being the Mountain Lounge 'Farsha.

Excellent place to visit, but do a bit of research (prior to going) on what's available for your thing, eg, diving, snorkeling, shopping, sight-seeing. There's lots of all this, (or just relaxing). Some of the places we only heard of after we left. Night time visit to Naama Bay is a must.

I recently had the pleasure of spending five incredible nights at Baron Resorts, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable.
I want to extend special thanks to Mostafa, the two Muhameds at reception, Sami, Mobarak, and Islam, the night manager. Each of them played a pivotal role in making my stay seamless and enjoyable. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and warm demeanor truly stood out.
The resort itself is stunning, with excellent facilities, immaculate cleanliness, and a serene ambiance. The food was delicious with a variety of options, and the attention to detail in every aspect of the service was remarkable.
Thank you, Baron Resorts, for an unforgettable experience. I’ll definitely be back and will highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway.

As you'd expect, the food is to taste of the locals but was still lovely! We came all inclusive for 2 weeks.
Great location, close to the bars/restaurants and couple minutes walk from the beach (private beach area for the hotel).
There's also a little shop on site of the hotel.

The food was OK, in the main hotel restaurant. But, prepare if you don't like spicy or have some food allergies, cause everything I touched was spicy! The salads mostly. Plus, a lot of diaries everywhere and the stuff barely speak English when I asked them what's in the dishes...(I have a diaries allergy) For average hotel it's fine but faaaaar away from 5 star!
By far the best service i have had in sharm el sheikh. The animation team was incredible especially Shika and Momo. All the staff were wonderful mainly Mr Adel and Mostafa from the reception. The food belonged to a 5 star hotel not a 4 star hotel. The head chef mr emad was incredible. Best hotel if you are looking for quality vs price.
We expected that the Egyptian 5 stars are relative! It was so. Advice for everyone: it's enough to pay attention to the hotel's rating and services, the stars mean little beyond that. It wasn't a bad hotel, but nothing special, maybe the nice pools can be highlighted.
