About the food you wouldn't find the widely known food chains available there, just some local restaurants and supermarkets (some good, some bad follow your instincts). So maybe prep some meals to pack with you or rely on the resort's eatery, if any.
A popular activity there is Kite surfing which looks very enjoyable but unfortunately they only offered costly 6-day-courses, no individual surfs.

Although tide hugely affect sea level, you can enjoy it during high tide with exra time during low tide to enjoy doing other activities. The only problem is that transportation is really bad in ras sedr.
staff very polite and kind. Hotel ambiance was nice, they might improve something on house keeping. Overall it’s a good place to take a rest while to and from between Cairo and Sharm.
