Ras El Bar has its own style, it is like country side village on the sea and the nile at the same time. I love it because I have memories there since I was a child, so may be if some one visits it now might not like it at first . But if you eat there you will love its authentic Egyptian food ( it is famous for sea food , duck , foul , home made cheese , home Jam, Fateer and deserts . You can take a boat ride on the nile (there where the nile meets the Mediterranean it is called Gerbi) or sit by the nile at one the cafeterias . Or watch the sunset by the sea either from the sea beaches or at the floating Casino (it is not floating but it is at the end of a pier ) I think you will love it

It's a long - at least 1.5 hours - drive from Port Said & best not done at night: roads are not lit. Y Uber its at least LE400. It's fascinating because of the fleet of fishing boats, the convergence of Nile & Mediterranean - & the gorgeous corniche. But only go to stay at the Steinberger: there is really nothing but the hotel & its immediate surroundings to go for.

Overall, we had a wonderful time at Steigenberger.
Overall, we had a wonderful time at Steigenberger. The staff was very friendly and keen to please the hotel's guests. The only few remarks that we had was that the pool was smaller than it is made to appear on the pictures, the private beach is about 1 kilometer away from the hotel, and some of the guests felt at liberty to be loud at the pool and inside the hotel itself until very late at night. The hotel does provide shuttles to the beach, but these are minibuses that are not comfortable, not to mention that they are not suitable at the time of a pandemic. One of the very interesting things we did there was the parasailing. When in the hotel, you must ask about this activity and they will connect you with the person in charge (I think the company is called Bobos).

It's an amazing transformation for a city, I've visited Ras El Bar 30 years ago and I repeated the visit few days ago , I can claim the city has transformed to an international city, were you can enjoy the amazing scene of River Nile friendly meeting with the Mediterranean sea, all building are 2 to 4 floors with red roofs, in Ras el bar you have to test their desserts specially (Meshabek & Shakalama) from Balbool or from Abo Tabel, where you can find in the El Souq El Kadem street.
you can ride a city bus with no roof (Taftaf) to get a tour around the city, you have to visit el Lisan, you you can be a witness on rhe River Nile friendly meeting with the Mediterranean sea.
