Beautiful resort, nice small boutique hotel. Would be good if they make beach in the future. All around there is no facilities as they still build the villas. We went to the beach, it was rocky and windy that time. So we couldn’t swim. Breakfast was okey, good option to have it in the room.

Was the best surprise in our trip to Egypt. Marsa Matruh has two of the best beaches we ever saw in our lives: Cleopatra and Agiba. For sure we will be back. We loved also the Museum of Marsa Matruh. There is a McDonald's just in front of the beach, so you can eat your "big mac" or an ice cream with an amazing view!!! The people of the city are not very used to meet strangers in my opinion, it seems that differently of Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada, Marsa Matruh is more focused for Egyptian tourism instead of foreigners, so not everybody speaks English there. Prices are cheaper than in other cities of Egypt. We had a taxi driver that became our friend even we only could talk using Google Translate. Very warm personality and we booked him to guide us in all the beaches in a day trip. We can't wait to return to those amazingly beautiful and crystal clear beaches!!!

don't go to Matruh in peak season( July & August) too many people are in the streets & on the beaches, choose remote suburban location outside main city if you are a foreigner or Non Muslim women as culture & religion are playing against you if you want to take a dip in the sea wearing a one- piece swimsuit, the city is blessed with splendid nature and is cheap,

I almost feel guilty raving about this place because even though Egyptians know about it and have been coming for decades, there are relatively few foreign tourists. This has allowed Marsa Matruh to retain its unique cultural authenticity, with its delightful Bedouin hospitality and scrupulously honest people. I hope it won't be invaded soon by too many foreign tourists. Avoid coming in July and August. The best months are May, early June, September and October. It's simply paradise.

The sea is the best along north coast however beaches and the provided service are not as good
If you care about the quality of stay you need to visit private beaches yet expect not to be satisfyingly served
Water facilities are not the best too
If you like local markets you will like the city if not i don't recommend as it's too crowded in high seasons

Marsa Matrouh city presents a compelling alternative to the North Coast due to its affordability and the abundance of beautiful, pristine beaches. In addition, there is a wide range of activities to enjoy and delectable cuisine to savor. I highly recommend considering Matrouh, particularly for families seeking an enjoyable vacation destination.

Traveling from Cairo to Matruh, we arrived overly late for dinner, but the manager of the restaurant, Ziad Muhammad, graciously arranged an assortment of dishes to be sent up to our room, so, after a long day of travelling, we felt in comfort.
Returning from Siwa to Matruh, the Hotel manager gave us the pleasant surprise of an upgraded room, which allowed us to enjoy the magificient view over the Corniche and the Mediterranean.
Thanks for that!
The hotel lobby looks a but shabby, but the room was great, modern and well equipped with a nice view from the balcony. The private beach is very nice, and not crowded (end of September). The cleaning service was great. I traveled with a teenager who very much enjoyed the luna park nearby (accessible on foot).
Fabulous sandy beach. Great hotel with lots of space. Comfortable rooms. And friendly, cooperative staff, especially Mr. Ahmed Galal, the front office manager.
