It has its quirks and I rarely leave a review so I'll do my best to cover them all.
- At the time of this review, the hotel’s only been open for 3 weeks and construction is still ongoing (nothing major so you won't have to worry about noise)… But, know there will be things that may not be ready and they don’t know it yet. Just communicate and they’re more than eager to make your stay enjoyable.
- Consider their tours. If you haven’t booked any tours before your arrival I recommend waiting until you arrive to discuss tours with them. Egypt turned out to be a lot more chaotic than expected for my solo traveling style so having a local knowledgable guide might be more beneficial than you think.
- They’re very, and I mean very friendly! If you’re from the Pacific Northwest / U.S. like I am, don’t be put off by it. It’s a family owned hotel and they’re all either blood brothers or like brothers to each other and they’re just trying to be helpful. Once you’re aware of that, it becomes a feature not a bug.
- The rooms are well designed, clean and you have a spectacular view of the pyramids from your window which is breathtaking to wake up to. The TVs are set to Egyptian TV only but that might change in the future. Also, if you show up to Egypt wanting to watch TV… I don’t know, maybe don’t? Haha A/C to me is of the highest importance in this heat/humidity and I’m glad to report the AC blows cold air all day long!! (Perks of being brand new)
- The amenities are fabulous. The chef, is one of my favorite parts of this hotel. He’s a character! Very kind, and meticulous with his food. Lots of pride. The breakfast is a mix of traditional and western and well portioned. The rest of the menu is just delicious! So do yourself a favor and definitely spend at least one evening / afternoon on the rooftop taking in the view while enjoying his delicious creations!
