The whole town of Port El Sokhna felt like a dystopian...
The whole town of Port El Sokhna felt like a dystopian nightmare. It’s not a town in the traditional sense but a massive, gated compound, completely isolated from the outside world. Without prior knowledge, you’d never guess how inaccessible it is. The streets lead to endless gates, and there’s no clear way in unless you’re familiar with the labyrinth.
The building itself was overwhelming—a giant block housing thousands of apartments, all tucked behind layers of security. It felt less like a vacation spot and more like an eerie, self-contained bubble. For someone new, it’s a frustrating, disorienting experience just to find where you’re supposed to go. This is no ordinary town—it’s a walled-off, confusing fortress. There’s no access to the beach at all. You’re stuck behind gates and walls, staring at the sea from a distance, with no way to actually reach it.

POSITIVES:
POSITIVES:
The room is clean with good working devices, the food is good with diversity, and the pool is clean. Also, they have a free kids' area with fair equipment.
NEGATIVES:
Unfortunately, the hotel lacks many features like a gym, spa, and animation team activities. Even drinking water is not free! I was shocked at this point, not to mention that there was no WIFI.
Also, many parts of the hotel are under construction or renovation which limits your movement across the hotel.
The private beach area is very limited in terms of capacity! And you have to walk about 15-20 mins to reach the beach.
Hotel staff, some of them are polite and helpful, while some are rude and just escalate to the receptionist.
Almost, no service on the beach or pool.
OVERALL REVIEW:
Porto Elsokhna Hotel is considered a good stay if u only care about sleeping well, eating well, and enjoying a standard swimming pool. Otherwise, I recommend other hotels that have better features and service.
IT SHOULDN'T BE A 5 STARS HOTEL. IT'S 3 OR 4 STARS MAX HOTEL.

Honestly the worst customer experience we’ve been treated like an outsider and a stranger and the staff/ caretakers are not safe as Mohammed stole my phone from first floor, and then claimed he found it. Worst experience ever lifeguards just looked as someone was drowning and food was not good at all.

It’s not big city, relies mainly on summer season otherwise nothing to do.
Beaches, water activities and that’s it.
Not a lot of food options but good ones are close by in driving distance.
Galala aqua park is okey, don’t have too high expectations on it though.

.The accommodation is not clean, and there are cockroaches...
.The accommodation is not clean, and there are cockroaches in the bathroom. The kitchen is dirty, and the kitchen utensils are very filthy. There are loud noises, making it impossible to sleep well. The walls are old and unpainted. There is no door handle in the bedroom. The room does not contain towels, soap, or cleaning materials. There is no privacy, and the sounds of people outside the room are annoying. I could not sleep well.
The customer service office is very far from the accommodation, the treatment is bad, and the waiting time can be as long as 3 hours to get accommodation. I do not recommend repeating the experience. Due to poor planning, my customer service agent booked me one night in one room and two nights in another room. This was the worst experience I've had with booking

We were staying for one night during our travel from Cairo to the southern part of Red Sea seashore. Location is quite suitable for this, although during high season it should be good for longer staying as well.
Beach is very nice and clean.
Food variety is very good. At the breakfast your may find REAL orange juice instead of this artificial powder stuff - not usual at all for Egypt.
Hotel Manager Mr. Ali Abdallah is extremely professional. He helped personally to deal with our problem not related to the hotel.
I appreciate the customer care General attitude of all employees especially
Mr. Mostafa and Mr. Shady and the support of Mr. Ibrahim the GM of the hotel they are all very descent and supportive people. Many thanks.
Food was really good. Nice options for veg and non veg. Good Egyptian style menu. Very close to beach but no water activities in this beach. Good to relax on your own.
